Great Shanghai Tour - The tour with Tom was great. I was able to get a great overview of the landscape, history and development of the city, which still continues. I learned lots about how the traditional architecture is linked to ancient Chinese philosophies as well as the western influences on the unique architecture of Shanghai. The Jade Buddhist temple was a real highlight and Tom's deep knowledge of Buddhism made it even more interesting and meaningful. I highly recommend this tour.

A wonderful end to a hectic trip! - I travelled to China on business with my daughter and wanted to mix in history and tours with the process of visiting companies. We didn't know what to expect in Shanghai, but Vicky was our guide and was excellent. She asked us what we wanted, managed to engage a shy child and she really had a deep grasp of the history of China and the sites visited. We had a brilliant day at the Buddist temple, the sculpture park, the peoples square, the park hotel, lunch in the chichi french quarter, the bund, the ?something? garden and then some local shopping... and then a short metro ride back to our hotel (we'd specifically asked if we could ride it!!) a superb and full day that also seemed so easy. Really great and I would thoroughly recommend.

One unforgettable day of my life - It was the best choice, I could make. Tom is a very experienced and empathic travel guide. He shows me so many interesting and beautiful places and had a lot to say about. No boring Minute. I loved the tea time, the buddha temple with his huge history and meanings, the Chinese lunch was great. The „i-Point“ were the explanation about chinese culture, behaviour and Symbols. Thanks, Tom, for one unforgettable day in my life and thanks to the driver, je also made a great Job.

Great experience. - We took several tours with Mark and Tom. We initially found them through a website for Shanghai tours; however, it is just as easy to book directly with them. We initially took an evening tour of old city, new city and a river cruise. This is a must!! The cruise along the river at night was spectacular and they arrange for a VIP section of the boat. Seeing the old city was also very interesting. We liked Mark very much, so we used him as well for a tour of French Concession and Yu Garden. I am probably spelling the garden wrong, but we got the correct guide. He was very informative and we learned much. We then went for tea and then to see the French Concession. Learning about the tea was very much fun and we bought several samples for our family. We ran a bit behind schedule and I needed to take a business flight, but Mark did a great quick tour of the French Concession to give us a concise synopsis - he would have stayed longer, but I wanted to get back to the hotel with extra time due to Shanghai traffic. As we really trusted the team so much, while I was away on business my wife went with the owner Tom to Suzhou. She had a phenomenal tour of the gardens, a nice lunch and did some shopping. I felt my wife was in excellent hands for the day I was gone!! In summary, 3 tours with them. ALL EXCELLENT and consistently informative and fun. The costs are very reasonable and I can’t imagine a better organization. We had a great time.

Tom was fantastic! - Tom was fantastic! Took my family of 4 (including 11 and 17 yr olds) on an 8 hour private tour of Shanghai. He met us in the lobby of our hotel and took us all over Shanghai, explaining about local sites and culture as we went. Very informative, top notch English, and very helpful all day long. No way we could have seen and done as much as we did were it not for Tom; we wouldn't have even known where to start! Example; he took us through a nondescript door, up one flight of stairs, and all of a sudden we're in a full-on tea house with terrific views from the balcony, where a nice English speaking lady conducts a tea demonstration/sampling for us! We saw You garden, Jade Buddha temple, and many, many other places. With an 11 yr old in tow, I was especially grateful that Tom went out of his way to minimize our walking in the sun, finding a/c for a little break, bringing around the car, etc. Highly recommended! Would use this service again!

ABSOLUTELY recommended - Tom was great, he was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We did a private tour and he gave us tips and helpful information. Shanghai is difficult to navigate without the language or apps - especially with young kids. I definitely recommend this!
