The Tower began to lean during construction in the 12th century, due to soft ground which could not properly support the structure’s weight, and it worsened through the completion of construction in the 14th century. The structure was stabilized by remedial work between 1993 and 2001, which reduced the tilt to 3.97 degrees. - Lucca - Second stop in Lucca. Visiting Lucca means discovering the birthplace of the composer Giacomo Puccini, travelling through the signs of time, through history and art, from the Roman period to the Middle Ages, from the Renaissance to the nineteenth century and modern times. Lucca is magical in all seasons, with its famous Walls, crowned with trees and the pedestrian areas in the inner side of the city, it’s the perfect place for a walk or a bike ride. At the end of the visit we will head towards Florence.

Embark on a journey from Cinque Terre to Florence, with the addition of sightseeing in Pisa and Lucca, guided by our knowledgeable local driver. Take a trip along the scenic Tuscan roads and seize the chance to explore the renowned cities of Pisa, famous for its Leaning Tower, and Lucca, distinguished by its old walls.
• We will arrange a pick-up from your Cinque Terre location.
• On our way, we will pause for an hour in Pisa, to bask in the splendour of the ‘Piazza Dei Miracoli’: the Leaning Tower, the Duomo, and the Baptistery.
• Afterwards, we proceed to Lucca for a self-guided visit of the historical center and its ancient walls for approximately two hours.
• Later in the afternoon, we will head to Florence via a scenic route. You can specify your preferred drop-off location in Florence (either at your residential address, or your hotel, B&B, or private apartment).
Throughout the drive, our driver will point out the region’s must-visit spots and recommend the finest regional eateries.
