Highlights
  • N Seoul Tower - Now, to get to the N-Seoul Tower, All the tourists have to take a bus or cable car operated by Seoul city.
The cost of the bus will be paid by the guide and the cable car ticket need to be paid by tourist.

Namsan Seoul Tower was the first tower-type tourism spot in Korea. The top of the tower is at almost 480m above sea level, including Namsan Mountain (243m) and the tower’s own height (236.7m), making it one of the tallest towers in the Orient. It is comprised of Seoul Tower Plaza, recently opened to public access after 40 years, and N Seoul Tower, operated by CJ Foodville since 2005. The tower was first established as a broadcast tower to send out TV and radio signals in 1969. As of now, it has become one of the representative landmarks and multi-cultural venues in Seoul.

  • Kwangjang Market - Gwangjang Market was the first permanent market in Korea and continues to thrive as a popular tourist destination today. The second floor of the market is filled with silk, satin, and linen bed-sheet stores, which are the largest and most famous in Seoul.

Many of the stores in the area even have their own factories supplying fabrics to the Namdaemun Market, Pyoung Hwa Market, and even to some department stores. Even though the goods are not brand-name products, the wide selection of high quality goods at inexpensive prices makes it an enjoyable shopping experience.

  • Bugak Palgakjeong - View Point to See Seoul Night View From the Northern Part Seoul

  • Naksan Park - Naksan Park gets its name from its camel hump-like appearance. In Korean ‘nakta’ means camel and ‘san’ means mountain. So people refer to the park as Nakta Park or Naksan Park. The mountain is a solid granite bedrock. The Joseon royal family enjoyed the natural beauty of the granite mountain, but during the Japanese Colonial Period, a hasty manner of urban planning resulted in the demolition of most parts of the mountain. In an effort to save the remaining green belts, Naksan was designated as a park on June 10, 2002. Located in the center of the Seoul, this historical and beautiful park allows its visitors to view the magnificence of the entire city.

  • Cheonggyecheon Stream - Cheonggyecheon Stream starts from Cheonggye Plaza, just off Sejong-ro Avenue. Cheonggye Plaza roughly covers an area of 2,500 square meters, and is located at the starting point of Cheonggyecheon Stream. The square, created based on the design of traditional Korean bojagi (a colorful wrapping cloth), features the elegant beauty of traditional stonework that is colorful yet refined. The plaza also includes a model of Cheonggyecheon that provides visitors with a bird’s-eye view of the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream. At the plaza, there are plaques that provide detailed commentaries on the 22 bridges that span the stream, as well as a number of graceful fountains that add to the ambience of the area. The area commemorates the Cheonggyecheon Stream Restoration Project, and also symbolizes gathering, harmony, peace, and unity.

Saw a lot in a very short time . - If there is a six star rating we’d give our guide Jimmy a Six . Jimmy pick us up from hotel slightly ahead of time so that we could discuss some minor changes to our program . He was very accommodating and agreed to our request and offered alternatives. The mini bus took our little party of four to a Korean eat all you can BBQ restaurant. With Jimmy helping in cooking we consumed no less than 6-7 plates of beautifully prepared pork and plenty of side dishes to choose from . Zero sugar soft drink was also on offer as part of the package . The meal was so good we nearly requested to skip the rest of the trip and stay in the restaurant. Just kidding. After the fantastic meal we witnessed Jimmy’s driving skill and his ability to negotiate the very narrow and steep inclines to the fortress for a night time view of the city . Absolutely gorgeous sights . We skipped the night market as we were there already the day before . Instead we rode up to the mountain with an eight corners pavilion on it . Our next stop was the stream now you can walk on either side of it as the crystal clear water runs down to the river . Very enjoyable tour only if I had prepared a map before hand to note down the names of places we visited . Never mind there will be another chance to revisit and certainly I’ll book the same company again .

Night Tour to Remember - Our guide for this private tour was Kim. This tour was actually a spur of the moment decision brought about by the Garden of Morning calm light illumination festival held at night. We asked our previous tour guide Kim if he does any night tour, and he recommended this customized private night tour. It was the best decision we made. Kim picked us up from our hotel around midday and explained to us the itinerary. He took us to Namsan Tower (renowned for the love locks). We walked around, took some photos, and bought a lovelock of course. Afterwards, Kim took us to some hidden gems around Seoul where we could see some of the more spectacular views of the city. We walked around the neighborhood and saw some of the old, traditional houses. Kim took us to another Korean BBQ with the best pork in town. It was another wonderful, delicious, and reasonably priced meal. It was brilliant to have a local cook and recommend what side dishes goes well with the BBQ. With our tummies full, we started our journey to the Morning Calm illumination light. It was truly an exceptional sight to see, very different from what we saw during the day. Kim took photos if us and allowed us to walk around on our own. The photos and videos did not do the light festival any justice. One will need to go and experience it in person. The intricate light displays were incredible and outstanding, there are no words. We want to thank Kim again for organizing and planning this private night tour for us, it was truly worth it! We highly recommend it to anyone who wants an authentic experience of Seoul/Korea.

It was nice but not worth the time nor the price - I was very disappointed with the tour. The overall content of the tour was SEVERELY lacking. Although the tour guide, Jimmy, was nice, I felt that it was not worth the money I paid, as I had expected more value from the tour. .1) I was dropped off at the night market and given only 30 minutes to explore the supper market. I felt that there was no explanation about the market or any guidance provided. Secondly, I found the fortress to be nice, and appreciated the detailed history provided behind it. Thirdly, the BBQ restaurant was okay, but it was my first time having Korean BBQ and I received no explanation about what to do or any background story. Overall, I did not feel that this tour was worth the money I spent. Our group paid close to $100 per person, and as there were six of us in the group, we expected more value from the tour. I felt that it was more like an Uber drive around town, rather than a food tour. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this tour to anyone.
