COMPLETELY awesome. I... - COMPLETELY awesome. I totally loved this experience, even though the weather and visibility on the day was bad. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and after the full-day tour folks were taken back to Seoul there were just 6 of us with the guide for the suspension bridge and Gloucestershire memorial park. It was amazing, I’ll be recommending it to everyone.

Good value, well-organized and varied tour. - This was a good tour, well-organized and varied. It involves an early start, but that is unavoidable, due to the first-come, first-served system for assigning DMZ tickets. It is fast-paced and more strenuous than expected, especially the 3rd infiltration tunnel, but that was a worthwhile experience. Peering into North Korea was another highlight. It is also a good way to see some of the countryside outside Seoul. Our guides Joo ee and Junie were both very good, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, with good English

Wonderful day - Superb day, very well organized. Message received by email and SMS about the morning schedule change. Very rewarding circuit, physically demanding (especially the third tunnel). Magnificent suspension bridge, worth the detour.

A fascinating day trip from Seoul - My wife and I greatly enjoyed this fascinating experience. The day began early with collection at a Seoul metro station. The early start is required in order to get to the DMZ entrance point early enough to ensure a good position in the daily queue. Whilst this was in progress, we explored the displays and memorials at the entrance point. These include the Freedom Bridge, a railway engine showing numerous bullet scars and memorials to both families still divided by the Korean War and the 'comfort women' from both halves of Korea that had been so used by Japanese occupation forces before and during World War II. There is also a small shopping centre with restaurants to enable refreshment while waiting for our allotted entry time - the food available was good. Once our time for entry to the DMZ proper arrived, we travelled to the 3rd Tunnel. This involved a long walk down (and later back up) the reasonably steep interception tunnel and a cramped walk along the North Korean tunnel itself. This was not comfortable, but comfort is not the point - instead we saw what the North had been up to and got a feel for some of what the troops involved would have experienced had the tunnel been used in anger. The height of the tunnel requires tall people to stoop, and those with claustrophobia may wish to stay on the surface, where this is a mock up of the tunnel end and (of course) a gift shop. Alternatively, there is a powered cart that can take passengers up and down the interception tunnel, but at additional cost and, I think, it has to be arranged at the top - not once you are at the bottom looking at avoiding the climb back out. After that we moved on to the observatory where we had great views over North Korea. From there we left the DMZ and when to the Gloucester Memorial (This British unit's actions held up the Chinese advance on Seoul for several critical days, providing enough time to defend the city and prevent it being over-run). The grounds and memorials are very moving. Finally, we climbed a nearby peak and enjoyed walking across the suspension bridge connecting it to a nearby peak. Throughout the trip our guide provided interesting and inciteful commentary, explaining the history we were seeing and providing relevant context. This was not overwhelming, his sense of humour showed at times and he was patient. He provided clear information also on when we needed to be at various points to ensure the bus left on time to reach the next part of the tour. Good weather throughout undoubtedly helped, and we learned a great deal while seeing some very interesting sights.

Interesting visit, shame the JSA is closed - Beautiful day with lots of interesting stops, we are taken by the atmosphere. Very friendly guide who spoke good English. Too bad we couldn't see the JSA (currently closed) which is certainly the most moving part.

Would recommend :) - This tour was a nice way to learn more about North and South Korea. It was an expirience that I would definitely recommend to everyone. Beware that you need good physical health for the tunnel and the suspension bridge.
