Highlights
  • Ancient City of Ephesus - This enclosure for archaeological remains at Ephesus elegantly reconciles historic conservation with accessibility for visitors. The site of a succession of great ancient civilizations, Ephesus, on the south-west coast of modern Turkey, embodied a peculiarly fertile synthesis of architecture and culture. In 356BC the Greeks built the Artemesium (a colossal Ionic temple dedicated to Artemis the fertility goddess) which was one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. During the 2nd century BC, Ephesus was the fourth largest city in the eastern Roman Empire, famous for its Artemesium, the Library of Celsus and its medical school..

Walk into ephesus with an expert - Umut is the best guide ever, if you would like to make a tour to an ancient city skip the wikipedia information and find an expert guide. Umut is a certified ephesus expert and he knew lots of things about history of rome and ancient Greek. He met us at izmir airport and gave many information about history and culture of his country. Well planned tour.

Fantastic day out - We had a great day out with Melis and Yavus. Yavus drove very carefully and we had a very comfortable vehicle. It was so much fun spending time with Melis, who speaks excellent English and she made a real effort to get to know us and gave us a great understanding of life in Turkey and everywhere we visited. We really enjoyed visiting Ephesus and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We also had a fantastic lunch and enjoyed walking around the village of Sirince, where we enjoyed trying some local wine and also sweets at another store. We had a fantastic time and being a private tour it felt very personal and we created some great memories. Melis is a lovely person and anyone would be lucky to spend a day of their holiday with her 😊

A great taste of Turkey - We did this tour whilst on a cruise and highly recommend it. Having a private tour was much better than being with a large group. We thoroughly enjoyed Ephesus and our guide Melis was clearly knowledgable. Lunch was at a school that taught the art of carpet making which included various local dishes. A big thanks to Yauvs who was our driver and his amazing driving.
