Kangaroo Island Trails Scienic Day Tour - My husband and I were visiting Kangaroo Island as part of a cruise ship itinerary and therefore limited to a few hours to get a real feel for the place We didn’t know what to expect when we booked this tour but knew we preferred to go in a smaller group than those offered by the cruise line. We were blown away at how good it was. I have to say our guide, Nikki, made our day. Her enthusiasm and ability to keep those on the bus entertained and interested was exceptional. Nikki has vast amounts of knowledge about the Island from the animals, geology, history, people, and natural beauty to the abundance of activities and industry that makes it so unique. Highly recommend this tour.

A day in Kangaroo Island - Nikki was the best tour guide! We’ve learned a lot about Kangaroo Island and its inhabitants just listening to Nikki and her love for the place. We visited all the tourist spots that we wanted to see on the island. And that Çhicken pasta salad was the best lunch on a hot day! Will definitely recommend this tour.

Great driver! - Because it wasn't sunny, our driver took us to a road where we saw dozens of animals. Lunch was a bit late, but good. She was great

Kangaroo Island great place but very poor guide. - So glad we saw such a unique place like Kangaroo Island! Unfortunately, we had a terrible guide that certainly diminished the experience. This tour company should NOT use Paul as a guide if they want to have satisfied customers. Also, they need to rethink how they do lunch!!

Seals were great. - Lunch served after 2pm and all passengers were hungry. Driver was falling asleep while driving. I had to stay alert and watch her. Everyone else in the bus was asleep. Long time looking for kangaroos when our bus was full of Australians. Seeing the seals was a highlight of the tour and made it worth while.

A very long and disappointing day. - Our driver/guide, Cheryl, was very informative and helpful - and she was to be congratulated for her efforts. However, it is a very long and disappointing day as there is so little to see in between the highlights - Seal Bay, the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral's Arch. The tour took over 8 hours - the first toilet stop was 2 hours after we started; there was no morning tea; lunch was served at 1:50pm and consisted of a bottle of juice and a Greek salad in a plastic container (to be eaten whilst travelling with wooden utensils)! As there were children on board, it was a totally unsuitable meal. Surely, a wrap or sandwich would have been a better option. The Remarkable Rocks were certainly impressive but hardly worth the 3 hour drive.

Think twice before you book or take out extra travel cover. - Very misleading. No mention of losing all money payed if the cruise ship tenders are not running to get you on the island. I would have understood losing 50% but to lose 100% for absolutely no fault of our own. No mention of any of this in the booking process or letting customers know that this tour often doesn’t go ahead because of poor sea conditions to get passengers onto the island. I would have booked appropriate travel cover if I had known how unlikely the tour was to go ahead. My advice to others would be to book when you arrive and know that you will be able to stand on Kangaroo island or take out appropriate cover to cover yourself for it not going ahead. Tour company is making very good money taking 100 percent from its customers and they don’t have to do a single thing. Extremely disappointing for the money my family has lost at no fault of our own. At least be upfront and provide the information to your customers so they can make more informed choices.
