Loved the Sea Turtles - Fabulous! Great Experience. We were picked up promptly and delivered to the beach. Our guide made us feel very comfortable. Entry to and from the beach went very well. Being in the water with the sea turtles was such a wonderful experience. We spent 40 minutes swimming very close to them. Beautiful creatures.

Great tour! - This was a wonderful opportunity, and the guys from Bu Country couldn’t have been better! The pick up at the cruise pier went perfectly, and the team at the beach were experts in getting the boat out through the incoming waves and wind. Once beyond the waves, we donned snorkeling gear and slipped over the side to tread water for the next 1/2 hour and the turtles swarmed all around us. The water is deep, so you need to be able to swim well, or use a life vest. When it came time to leave, they helped us back into the boat, and brought us back ashore through the waves like pros, with no issues. I highly recommend Bu Country and their operation at Sao Pedro beach.

Short, powerful, beautiful experience! - We have wonderful memories of this and could go again in a heartbeat. What an experience, many beautiful turtles around us in the water and incredibly friendly people who guided us, with whom we were able to communicate well from the start. A photo of the place where we were picked up was even sent via WhatsApp. This was also coordinated a day in advance. Great people. We experienced this during an excursion on our cruise and booked directly at Turtle House Cape Verde via TripAdvisor. You should definitely see this if you are in Mindelo. Remember to bring a towel, swimwear, hat and possibly a snorkel set. If you do not have the latter, please let us know so that it can be arranged. We combined this, because we also walked through the center with a friendly resident of Mindelo to see real local life. Visited the church and market, among others. A half day in total on the road was perfect for us with the children. Thanks again team Turtle House for everything!!!! We will never forget it. Nice tour, great team!!! - We didn't get a tour accompanied by our tour operator at first. So we quickly read up and booked BU Country Tours. Everything was communicated transparently and comprehensibly, questions were answered within a very short time, a maximum of 2 hours. Payment was made easily via Paypal. 2 days before the snorkeling appointment we received a reminder with the exact meeting point at the port exit. We were supposed to be met by staff there. As it was a bit hectic there, I asked by email - the answer came within 5 minutes and shortly afterwards we were spoken to personally by a member of staff. The rest is quickly told. 20 minutes in a local minibus to a beach, a quick briefing there (don't touch the turtles!!!) and then we got into a small boat with which we drove to the exit point about 100m away. There we saw not only fish but also the turtles we had hoped for and even a ray. All in all a great experience with a very friendly team who answered our questions very quickly in advance. We would do another tour with you immediately and without hesitation

Once but not twice... - Depending on your understanding of the subject, it is quite simply a tourist trap which has the sole merit of making the local economy work in my opinion... Question of price if you go directly to the site via the collective bus or other transport, the activity is €15/person for 45 minutes. The motor boats moor 80/100 m from the shore and once in the water, you have to swim alongside knowing that one of the young people who accompanies you throws food into the water in small pellets which attract turtles. They are not legion... Please note that you can easily swim to one of the boats with a mask and snorkel and mingle with the tourists...
