Fantastic day with some fantastic people - Brilliant day out with our fantastic tour guide Duarte, a walking encyclopedia on the vegetation and wildlife of Madeira.... he stopped at every possible point to let us soak the wonderful views ... Made us all feel very Welcome. He took is on a off road tour from Machico up to Portela which felt like a rally stage with I massively enjoyed stopping every so often to show some very interesting plants and wildlife Then went down to the Distillery in Port da Cruz for a tasting session and a trip round the facility which is the only one in Europe that still uses steam power The up to Santana for a spot of lunch at Cantinho da Serra which was wonderful and the down to the town to see the typical houses of Santana ..... Then we went up to Sao Roque do Fail as a little treat to try some "Poncha" at Bar Zeca The it was up to Pico do Arieiro via Ribeiro Frio to conclude the day .... All in all a fantastic day out with some fantastic people and would 100% recommend to anyone .... Even natives like me 😅

The best first day in Madeira that I could possibly have imagined! - Please, please, please go on this tour with Green Devil Safari, as you will absolutely love it! My 19 year old son and I went on it, with the wonderful Leno as our guide. He's a lovely character, and very attentive to his guests. He gave us far more of his time than he needed to, and looked after us brilliantly. The other people on the tour, three from The Netherlands, and one from England, have now become friends, and it really felt like we'd shared a special experience together. The viewpoints were spectacular, the off-roading was exceptionally good fun (hold on tight!), the lunch stop was perfect, and I lost track of the amount of ponchas we had thanks to the stops at great little, local cafes. I would 100% do this tour again, or a different one with these guys. Thank you Leno for the best day possible!
