Better than wikipedia / mejor que wikipedia - My friends and I are very grateful for this deep emersion in story telling by our guide, Alejandro. He is a walking wikipedia of history, architecture, culture, gastronomy and it extends beyond just Queretaro city to include the impact of other nearby towns. As we walk around the town and he points out occurrences in the buildings our imagination was vividly engaged. I know this tour should be about 4 hours, but we were so engaged we did 5+ hours as we kept discovering more and more information. Alejandro’s passion for all that Mexico represents was evident. I even had questions the next day and he promptly gave us more suggestions by phone. He is fluent in Spanish and English and other languages. He adds a flair of accents when sharing historical characters! I will be sure to engage again for more towns.

Great story telling makes this tour entertaining! - My husband and I had the most informative and entertaining 3 + hours this morning learning about Mexico and Queretero history from Alex our tour guide. Sometimes when on a tour your mind wanders, but not so with Alex. His knowledge and story telling abilities are first class. When he told us he does a little acting on the side I thought "of course you do." That's how he makes it so interesting. We highly recommend this tour with Alex.

Queretaro-Full of History! - This was a great way to learn about the rich history of Queretaro. Alejandro was a fantastic guide full of historical stories that kept my attention. He also answered many questions I had because I am a new visitor to Mexico. I learned lots about the indigenous peoples of Mizo-America, the arrival of the Spanish, the conquest of Mexico, the history of the colony, the importance of Cinco de Mayo, and the political changes in the 1800's. Alejandro was great in relating these points to history in the United States. That was important to me because I am from Texas. The walking tour was also fun because we started about 8:00 when it was not hot. In addition, the walking was not at all difficult even for me. I am 75! Much of the time I was seated listening to Alejandro's presentations. I felt comfortable throughout the tour. Alejandro was super because of his friendly personality, knowledge of history, native-speaker fluency in English, and flexibility. I would love to repeat this tour ........... it was that good! I highly recommend this tour!

A must Historical tour! - If you were looking for a comprehensive tour of the town by someone with a love for history and talent as a story teller look no further: Alejandro Villar will give you what you need! The guide was both impressively knowledgeable (he could answer even our most ignorant questions 😛) and had a subtle sense of humor when explaining.

Get the number of local guide and confirm the day before the event. - We booked and paid for in advance a walking tour of Queratero, Mexico and the guide didn’t show up. didn’t call. the people at Viateur (in Manila ) couldn’t help us because “no one answered the phone”.
