Just plain fun - Wow! What a fantastic lesson. Tim and Joelle were just so nice and helpful. Three ladies, beginners and in our late 40’s shredding in the whitewater during sunset. Nothing scary about this experience only helpful instruction and attentive hype! Would recommend 10/10.

Favorite day in CR - Our favorite day in Costa Rica. Tim was very easy to communicate with via What's App to reserve transportation as well as a semi-private lesson for my husband and daughter. I was able to watch them and enjoy the ocean at their stunning and secluded beach. Great day. Great vibe. Highly recommend.

Great Experience with Mojo! - We had the best time with Mojo Surf Adventures in Playa Grande! Tim was easy to communicate with about scheduling our time and gave great directions to the spot! The lessons were perfect and the instructors so patient. They worked really hard to get us up and on the right waves. It was great to have 1 instructor per 4 people, so a ton of individual time. Tim took a lot of great photos and sent to us -so nice to have them! Tim and his Mojo Surf team are great. Highly recommend!

Mojo Surf kicks ass! - My partner, a friend, and I took 6 days of surfing lessons with Mojo Surf. Joyel is a great teacher and a cool guy. He was very patient and gave good instructions. We came with a bare minimum of surfing experience, and he had us up and choosing our own waves in the blue water within a couple of days. The surf beach was secluded, and the waves were beautiful, consistent, and great for beginners. The owners, Tim and MJ, are a lot of fun and treated us like family. I can’t recommend these guys enough. They are all so kind, good-natured, and generous. If you choose them for learning to surf, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll have a great time!

Surfing fun in Costa Rica - Very enjoyable surf lesson on the beach in Costa Rica. The trip went well from start to finish. Good communication for the pickup, and then a very complete first lesson. Focus initially on safety with the board was appreciated and all of us (parent and two teenagers) managed to get up and surf the pacific waves.

First class experience - Tim and JP truly gave my kids and I an exceptional start to surfing and trip. Their shared knowledge of the area and culture was greatly valued. JP is ultra great with kids. They both exude positivity and genuine enthusiasm for teaching. Thank you Tim and JP. 🙏

Awesome waves, beautiful views, friendly instructor - What an AMAZING experience, MJ and Johel picked us up from our hotel and took us down a secluded road through the jungle which turned into a short walking path to Playa Grande. With only a handful of other people spread across the entire beach, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Johel was a great instructor for my son and I, starting with the basics on the sand, then moving to the ocean. With Johel's help, picking the perfect waves and letting us know when to stand, we were both able to ride several waves, with MJ providing fresh pineapple and water midway through the lesson. Shortly after getting back to our hotel we already had the amazing pictures MJ had taken waiting in a Dropbox. We will definitely use Mojo again next time we're in Costa Rica and want to surf!

All 3 kids had a blast! - We weren’t sure how it was going to work out as my 17 yr old is a surfer, my 8 year old just learned how to surf a few months ago and my 6 yr old has never been. They all LOVED it! MJ’s communication before the trip was great! We did a semi private for the two youngest and rented a board from Mojo for the 17 yr old. Our instructor Jolene was so patient and fun for our 6 and 8 yr old. Both of them were surfing by the end of the lesson. AND the pictures MJ sent me after were AWESOME!! So glad we picked MOJO for our surf adventure!

Surf lesson review - Tim and Joel were awesome. It was me, my 14yo daughter and my 11yo daughter. All of us were beginner surfers and by the end all were standing up riding waves. They do the lessons on Playa Grande which is a secluded sandy beach with no one else around to get in the way. No rocks to worry about either. They provide the boards and rash guards. Definitely a highlight of our trip.
