Sanchi Stupa - Morning pick up from Bhopal hotel at 08:00 hrs and drive to Sanchi (46 kms / 01 hrs). Sanchi is a Buddhist complex, famous for its Great Stupa. The Great Stupa at Sanchi is one of the oldest stone structures in India and was originally commissioned by the emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE. Its nucleus was a simple hemispherical brick structure built over the relics of the Buddha. It was crowned by the chatra, a parasol-like structure symbolizing high rank, which was intended to honour and shelter the relics. Next to visit Archaeological museum which houses numerous Buddhist artefacts that were acquired over a period of time.
After visit drive back to Bhopal. On arrival Bhopal, drop at hotel / dropping point.
