Delightful day - Lovely day trip. There is a lot of time on the bus but our tour guide David was so knowledgable about the area and it's history as a local. The tequila tasting was great. I bought a beautiful opal ring at a stop. And the Mexican Platter at the food stop was delicious. The town of San Sebastian is small but lovely to walk around.

Insightful and fascinating trip to San Sebastián - This trip was really excellent. Our tour guide Jorge was amazingly knowledgeable and brought every aspect of the day to life. On the journey to San Sebastián we visited a family business which distilled Tequila. The process was explained by Alex the son , again a very full explanation of the pry, the a silver jewellery company, with complimentary margueritas! Then a family growing & processing coffee, & then San Sebastián. The entire journey was filled with Jorge’s description of the trees & plants we passed, the stories about the local people & their lives & fascinating insights into the birds & animals of the region. Jorge was the most passionate , interesting & knowledgeable tour guide. Thank you!!

Well Worth Your Time - My two friends and I really enjoyed this tour. We absolutely loved the lunch which was included in the tour. The traditional Mexican food was delicious. It was nice to see a more colonial, less touristy side of Mexico. This is an excellent day trip from Puerto Vallarta and allows you to see the countryside away from the modern beach city. Jorge was a very knowledgeable guide and he can also make suggestions about other small towns to visit.

Laid back change of scenery - We went together with our family who all wanted to see different things, some wanted to see the mountains and forest, others wanted to know about local agriculture (agave), and others wanted a local small town experience. This hit most of our wants. A highlight was the tequila distillery - we liked learning about the process and took time to answer all sorts of questions from our group. We thought it was a personable experience as the tequila tasting was run by the family themselves. We felt the jewellery stop could have been skipped - but the purpose is to support businesses in the area to buy items. We felt there could have been more potential for the coffee place to be more of a personal experience like the tequila distillery. We tried their coffee (it was good) and had an opportunity to purchase it, but it would have been nice to have had more explanation. We had an hour to walk around San Sebastián - it gives an opportunity to see a small town and explore. Overall, it was a laid back experience - and requires time to get to by vehicle so as long as you are wanting that type of experience this tour will be good.

An interesting visit to the heart of Mexico - It’s an awesome visit to San Sebastian del Oeste. Jorge is s great guide. His knowledge is excellent. He’s funny too. The only problem is the AC of the van was not cold enough. The road has lots of turns and too many speed bumps. Some of the tour participants got car sick. It’s not anybody’s fault though. The quality of the Lunch is excellent. I love the dry shredded beef, and the chicken.

Long drive, lots of shopping, short time in the town itself - There is some good here, but I feel it would be best to be prepared. 1. The tour guide is very good. He really is doing his best to keep it interesting when there is a long car ride. 2. Lunch was amazing. One of the best meals on our trip. 3. If you are in the Romantic Zone, expect there to be an *extra hour* of driving each way. It was *three hours each way* for our trip to and from the Romantic Zone. 4. You will stop at a location where they will sell you silver, coffee, peanut brittle, weaving AND toquilla. Those are separate stops that take separate time 5. The air conditioned bus is not to American air conditioning standards. It will be warm. 6. You will get ONE HOUR alone in the town. That is it. That is the entirety of it. ONE HOUR. And it is among the warmest hour of the day 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., so you will be hiding in the shade or roasting in the sun. If you like the group experience with a lot of shopping opportunities and don't mind a warm car, this will be pleasant. If you wanted to get to your destination and explore it, like I did, this will be a disappointment.

Not worth the time - Trip was too long on very rough roads- 2 hours going and 3 hours home. Village itself was fine but not worth the journey. Tequila making stop was interesting. Lunch was very good. Coffee plantation stop could have been omitted. No time to be on your own - just 30 minutes at the end but too far to walk for anything. We were the last couple to be returned to our hotel because 4 couples were from Nuevo Vallarta. That stop took at least 45 minutes. Would not recommend this trip.

Too Much Sales Pitch Along the Way - The little town of San Sebastian del Oeste was charming but a bit underwhelming. We had a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide who provided a lot of information on the ancient cultures of Mexico. What I didn't care for were the stop for tequila tasting, the stop at a jewelry store, and a stop at a coffee plantation. These stops, plus the bus ride took up most of the day, and were nothing more than sales pitches to buy stuff. I know many people like this kind of stuff, but I don't want to pay for a tour that turns into a day-long sales push.
