Highlights
- Embalse El Yeso - We will depart from Santiago city at the scheduled time, heading South-East towards the mountains. Our journey will take us through the town of San Jose de Maipo, where we’ll make our first stop for coffee or breakfast and to take pictures at the town’s main square. Afterward, we’ll continue through the mountains, with views of the main Maipo river. A second stop is planned at the Tinoco tunnel, where a train once carried workers and residents to the village of El Volcan. We’ll then proceed towards the El Yeso reservoir, stopping at a viewpoint to admire the Yeso river and valley before finally reaching the El Yeso reservoir. There, we’ll pause for photos and to enjoy a glass of wine and cheese against the backdrop of the turquoise water surrounded by mountains. Once our visit is complete, we’ll head back, making our final stop at the chocolate house for a chocolate drink or organic ice cream before returning to your hotels.
