- Intinan Museum - A few hundred meters north of the entrance to the main Mitad del Mundo complex, this amusing museum has meandering outdoor exhibits of astronomical geography and explanations of the importance of Ecuador’s geographical location. The real reason to come, of course, is for the water and energy demonstrations, but you’ll have to decide for yourself if it’s just a smoke-and-mirrors funhouse.

Great tour, would recommend - Our tour guide, Wendy, was great. She was very knowledgeable and took time to explain the history of her country. She brought fruit for us to try during the drive to experience more of Ecuador. We recommend this trip!

Latin Adventures took care of everything -- great tours, great people! - Excellent tour! Our party of 10 arranged to have a private tour and our guide Miriam and driver Dante were fantastic hosts! I coordinated the trip directly with Dante, and they took such great care of us. The Middle of the World Museum is an absolute must -- a highlight we all really enjoyed. We even made a side stop at a local empanadas restaurant, which was fun and delicious. I highly recommend Latin Adventures. They were extremely professional and communicative before we arrived, were punctual and very knowledgeable while we were there. We had two days in Quito and took tours with them on both days. Our first day we took their Old Town Walking Tour, which was a great way to start our trip. They made our visit to Quito very memorable! Thank you Dante and Miriam!

Excellent way to see the best of Quito - Our tour guide Oscar and driver Bolivar arrived at our hotel on time and took us up through the hills of Quito all the while explaining the city history and culture, answering our questions along the way. We stopped at a park to view a village of people living inside a volcano crater followed by an amazing time Learning about the culture and people of Equidor at the museum then to Mitad del Mundo. We wanted to see more of the city, so they dropped us off at Old town so that we could walk through the city and provided us with an excellent lunch recommendation. It was a great time!

Equator Visit - This is not the most cultural visit outside of Quito, but definitely worth it. The museum has interesting information to soak in, the stores well stocked with traditional goods, A good way to spend a couple hours.

Mitad del Mundo - It’s a must for tourists, and scientists alike! To see the Corialis effect of the electromagnetic fields of the earth is incredibly interesting! Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great trip - Xemena was an excellent guide. Will refer friends if the opportunity arises. There were only 2 in our group so we got very personal attention.

Mitad del Mundo - This was a very good tour! Oscar, Our guide, was very knowledgeable and pleasant. If there was a choice this would be closer to 4.5. We stopped at Pululahua Geobotanical reserve, which is very interesting. We learned much about Ecuador at the Intinan Solar museum. The only downside was that we were told to be ready at 8 AM via an email and it was 9 AM before we were picked up. There seemed there seemed to be some confusion, but otherwise it was a great trip!

It was just an OK tour - We took the Mitad del Mundo + Pululahua half-day trip with Latin Adventures Tour Operator. We enjoyed our time at Intinan but once we got to the second complex (Mitad del Mundo), we felt rushed. The guide came with us (at Intinan, he drops you off to take the official tour with one of their guides) and quickly walked us along the main artery, into one museum, and then out again. We wanted to look around some of the other museums in the complex + some of the little shops, but we were rushed along -- even though we ended up coming back to the city half an hour before our alloted tour time was up. You should offer free time to explore at Mitad del Mundo since it is such a big complex.
