Private local chauffeur who is fluent in English. Pompeii, an extensive archaeological site, is so grand in scale that one can easily lose their way within. Previously a bustling and advanced Roman city, Pompeii met its end under Mount Vesuvius’s devastating eruption in 79 AD, which enveloped it in layers of ash and pumice. Due to ongoing excavations, the site continually unfolds, revealing new findings annually. It is highly advisable to visit with a professional private guide for a relaxed, detailed tour of its essential structures - this guide can be requested to expedite the tedious ticketing process, though they are not included in the tour’s cost. A 2-hour stop is anticipated. Post-Pompeii-exploration, the transfer to the Amalfi coast will take approximately 90/120 minutes. Guests can request a 1-hour lunch break for pizza, or to savor a pre-determined Menu (all inclusive) at a well-known familial home - this includes traditional local dishes, beverages, wine, and dessert.
