Salamanca Tour - We were in Salamanca a few months ago and since we wanted to know a little about the history of the city we decided to do this tour and the truth is that we were not wrong in doing it with Salamanca Espectacular, the treatment was magnificent and the guide, Yolanda, in addition to being super professional He explained everything to us very well, without missing any details, you can see that he loves what he does and that he has a lot of experience as a guide. I would definitely repeat it and recommend it to everyone.

Fabulous Salamanca - Arrived here 2 days ago. Beautiful university city. Vibrant, good restaurants, and everything Spain has to offer in a relatively small package. Very walkable!!! Our guide, Morikita, for the " 3 hour tour" was knowledgeable as to the historical nature of all the sites we visited. She was personable and quick witted and she understood and took care to respect my walking ability which is slow and somewhat difficult going uphill. Speaks English and at least 3 other languages fluently. I would reccomend her without hesitation.

Very helpful tour - Our daughter is studying in Salamanca, but we knew she wouldn’t be able to give us an good overview of the history. We had her go with us, and we learned so much. The historic area around Plaza Mayor and the cathedrals were really brought to life for us. Our guide was pleasant and thorough.

Good but..... - Did this tour with 'Yolanda' last week. Yolanda was pleasant and enthusiastic. Clearly very knowledgeable and in two hours the tour went to all the places that would probably be at the top of your 'hit list' in Salamanca. A couple of things though. Yolanda spoke in heavily accented English which was difficult to follow at times (i missed about a quarter of what she was saying. Other English speakers made similar comments) and the 10 euro entry fee for the University and new Cathedral are extra and have to be paid when you turn up for the tour (to be fair it does say this on the confirmation when you receive it).

They don't give what they offer - They deceived us. We had booked a tour with an explanation of the cathedral and with the excuse of the price we paid, we did not enter. Furthermore, they told us that it cost 10 euros and the price is 7. The group was very large, but they continued offering it on the street when there were almost 50 of us. Furthermore, at the university another group of almost 20 people joined. I didn't like the guide, he repeated himself a lot, expressed personal opinions, and not much about the history.

Look elsewhere recommend a smaller group or private tour. Not worth the money - They didn’t acknowledge our reservation (made through TripAdvisor), and made us pay at a minimum an additional 20 euros or they wouldn’t give us the headsets. Tour was ok, but it was a HUGE group (40-50 people), and narration a bit melodramatic. I’d recommend a private or smaller group, and one more reliable/reputable. They didn’t respond to my requests for a reply when we ran into the reservation problem.

To be avoided - The guidance we received hasn’t been able to recreate the history of the city and its monuments; it was just a hop on hop off interspersed with small anecdotes and commentaries surpassing the limits of the tour.

Stay away - Waiting at the meeting point 15 mins prior to time and the tour guide didn’t even show up. Called the number and found out that the booking didn’t even make it through? By the way, I booked this excursion 3 weeks prior to arrival to Spain. Refund requested but still a total waste of our time.
