Gyeongbokgung was built in 1395 as the main palace of the newly founded Joseon Dynasty. The name Gyeongbokgung means ‘ The new dynasty will be greatly blessed and prosperous.’ With Bugaksan Mountain to its rear, the palace site was deemed auspicious according to the traditional practice of geomancy. There were a lot of story as well, and then It is located in the Seoul city core.

Guide didn't show up - I booked a private hald-day tour in English, and the guide never showed up. I tried to call him, but the guy who answered the phone didn't know English and hung up on me. I couldn't book a new guide instantly and I lost the opportunity to visit the palace with a guide.
