Unforgettable and 100% recommended - We did the tour with Andrw and we recommend it 100%. You can tell that he is passionate about what he does and knows a lot. We were also able to see a lot of animals: sloth bears, herons, alligators, monkeys... without a doubt, an unforgettable experience. Furthermore, doing the canoe tour allows you to reach areas that are impossible with motor boats, not to mention that they are not dangerous for animals!

Guide is born and raised in Tortuguero - This is a young local guy who grew up in this jungle. He knows every tree and especially every insect, mamal and bird. If you want to be surprised by his knowledge about the local ecosystem, plants, insects, history of the Tortuguero village and see a lot of cool and rare animals (we had 12 on the walking tour and 14 on the canoe tour), than Andrews is your man. If you don't choose Andrews, then please, please pick a local guide from the extraordinary Tortuguero community.

Always happy to do so 😃👍🏻 - It was one of the best times in Costa Rica. Andrew welcomed us very warmly at the jetty. In the evening we went straight on a night hike. Andrew showed us the nocturnal animal world of CR. We didn't expect such diversity. Andrew explained everything to us in detail. We would gladly go on tour with Andrew again at any time. Book this tour!! - My dad and I spent 3 hours on the most magical rainforest tour with Andrws! Andrws was so kind, very knowledgeable about the flora and the wildlife, patient with all of my dad's questions, and took us into some special isolated places where we could just sit quietly and just *be*. His enthusiasm for nature is contagious! So much so that we ended up booking a walking tour with him in the park for later that day. Highly recommend doing both! On the canoe tour, we saw 20+ species, which included many cool birds, 2 types of monkeys, iguanas, a blue morpho butterfly, a caiman, bats and so much more! Pro tip: Take the early morning tour. The animals are more active, especially if the weather's decent :)

Unique nature experience with friendly and knowledgeable guides - My girlfriend and I have already been on a few guided tours on our Costa Rica tour, but the canoe tour through Tortuguero National Park with Andrews was a real highlight of our stay that we will remember fondly! Andrews' fascination with the flora and fauna, about which he has a great deal of knowledge, is infectious and you can feel that he, as well as us, is genuinely moved by discovering rare animals or experiencing the unique nature of the park. Andrews treats the animals with great respect and makes it a point not to subject them to any unnecessary stress despite our presence. We can highly recommend a tour with him and are very grateful to have had this opportunity!

The best tour ever. The best tour of life - The trip was amazing, Andrews is really knowledgeable and knows about the Island's history, the canals and beautiful spots on them, and all the species around. He is also a nice person so that made the trip even better! We were able to spot 16 different species and he explained everything about them to us and even fully stopped so we could take nice pictures! We were traveling with a 6y/o autistic kid and he made a couple accommodations so my son would be fully comfortable and have no sensory issues. It was the best tour ever. The trip was incredible. Andrews has incredible knowledge regarding the park, the canals, wonderful places within the canals, the history of the island and all the species on it. He is a wonderful person and that made the trip much better and more enjoyable! We were able to see 16 different species of animals and he explained everything about them to us, even stopping completely so we could take good photos! We traveled with a small 6-year-old autistic child, my son, who was delighted with Andrews who made accommodations so that my little one was comfortable and did not have sensory problems. It was the best tour of life.

Amazing!! - We did a night tour and morning canoe tour and both were amazing!!!! We saw so much wildlife, more than with other guides i think after talking to others. Andrws was so friendly, informative and enthusiastic we loved it! Would 100% recommend 😊

Amazing Canoe tour and night walk with Andrws - We had an amazing tour with Andrws and can really recommend it to everyone! We booked a canoe tour and the night walk and had both of them alone with him (we were 4 persons). It’s important for him to be a smaller group so everyone can have the same experience and doesn’t miss out on anything. He knows a lot about the animals we saw and was excited as we were to see them. He combined it with small anecdotes which made you remember the facts even more. You could notice that he loves his job and sharing his past experiences and knowledge. He was funny, friendly and a great guy to talk to. Not only about nature but about life in Costa Rica. Overall it was a very funny and interesting Tour, we couldn’t be happier!
