An experience not to be missed. - We did the self-guided tour, the mud bath and sulphur pools. You can hire towels and swimsuits at $5 per piece. Lovely staff and very organised. The facility was well kept and clean. The walk was very interesting and easy to follow on the self-guided sheet. Loved all the different geo-thermal activity. The mud-bath was lovely and relaxing. The sulphur pool was again relaxing. We only went into the cold plunge pool up to our knees-we were chicken. It was a great experience and I would recommend it highly.

Family Fun - I went with my husband and 2 kids, they had fun learning about the history and uses of each location during the self guided tour and playing in the mud afterwards!

Mudding Out - The Mud bath, it was my first time and an experience I desired for s long time. The rising cloud like steam emanating from the geysers was also fascinating to witness.

Fabulous, amazing, relaxing and good for all the family! - This was a fascinating experience. Loved walking around the park felt out of this world! The spa experience was a great , fun and relaxed experience and the staff could not have been more lovely , funny and friendly! Word of warning though, wear old bathers as they will smell of egg for a while after 😂😂

2 for 1 - We did the experience which is the tour and the spa. Our guide was very passionate about what he was doing. You don’t have to do the guided tour but you learn a lot more I think. It was a little too long for us as at the end we were ready for the spa. You don’t have to stick around as a couple of people moved on at the end. The spa part was pretty cool. As noted in other reviews. They give you a good size bin to put all your valuables/clothes. You give it back to them to secure it and you get a bracelet with the # of the bin. You can go back to get anything you need from it anytime. Also when you’re done they have 4 more private rooms with shower that you can use in your own privacy. They are located at the end of the pools. Just in case anybody is really worried about changing etc in public. Would recommend doing it if you have plenty of time in Rotorua.

Take a walk back in time… - Take the guided walk! Our guide was phenomenal… the best part of our entire trip. He shared several family stories and brought to life Māori culture in the area. He taught us more than just about the geothermal pools, but the ecology of the forest, the legends surrounding the pools, and how previous generations of Māori used them. The mud bath was a luxury… my skin felt soft and smooth afterward. Definitely follow their advice about your jewelry and bathing suit!
