Best Roman History tour ever! - A very interesting tour with an amazing and concise history of Rome’s first 800 years. Marcelo was so knowledgeable and able to share that knowledge in an interesting and engaging fashion.

Amazing tour of Roman history with Marcello! - We booked a tour with Marcello the morning before our entry to the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill, and we are very glad we did. He was able to bring together the story of Rome through nearly 3000 years of history, from its beginnings as a small city state, through to its peak of the Roman empire. The decline in the middle ages through to its position in the modern day. He also wove into the story the knowledge of how to read ancient Roman structures. Where does that marble come from? Why are there holes in the monuments? Even the rocks we sat on at one stop were remnants of important buildings. This was great even after the tour as we could learn so much more about each historic site. Highly recommend booking the Rise of Rome tour with Marcello!

Super recommended! - Really appreciated this tour with Marcello. I did 3 tours in Rome and this one was the one that kept me more interested the whole time. Lots of interesting stories that really tell you how the city came to existence. Would’ve loved to discover it earlier because it’s a great 1st tour of the city!

Great intro to Rome history! - If you are visiting Rome for the first time is a good opportunity to get an introduction about the city, sprinkled both with historical facts and legends about the different objectives that you will visit along the way. Marcello is a great storyteller and you will feel the time passed very fast. Thank you for the experience and for sharing with us a little of your passion for history and for the city!

best city tour you can have to start the eternal city - many ways very pleased as tourist fan and journalist its very easy to have a non biased opinion on services like this specially when there is so many options out there but for sure I took my time before booking and I contacted them even before and since day one the amount of options to book with them were so many giving me such a extensive feeling of trust, so my suggestion for all of those who would like to have a unforgettable experience look no further, and to all the staff manager and guides that shared all the knowledge with us from my family, the best tour agency in Rome.

Historic Sites with Marcello, an Excellent Guide - This guided walk through some of the oldest parts of ancient Rome, put into context by Marcello, a guide holding great knowledge of the history and culture of this region, was a very enjoyable way to learn more about Rome. I have been visiting Rome since 1976, and really appreciate that I can still learn more on a guided tour like this. Marcello has a real passion for his work, and we benefited from this so much. Thanks!!
