Slow-moving boat on Rome's Tiber river - Seeing Castel Sant'Angelo from the water gives a more complete view than ground level. Also, the bridges along the way are lovely. It's nice, but it wouldn't be a great miss if you don't do it. The staff was very kind.

It’s a $20 boat ride. - All I can say is the crew was extremely nice to us and very cordial. The cruise down the river was shorter than expected but after looking up some details, I know why. As one other patron stated, it was a bit over sold and NOT what you expect. For $20 bucks a head, okay, we got some alternate views of the city. We just did a round trip tour and hopped off where we hopped on. If you book it, don’t expect anything more than a ride in a a vintage tub and some cool views of the city’s river view.

You don't necessarily have to do it - You don't necessarily "have to" do the boat tour. There's nothing really to see and with 3 stops, hop on - hop off doesn't really make sense.

Total scam, zero stars. - This set up is a tourist trap, the boats only stop at some of the stops and not on the way back, there’s no schedule and only two boats. We thought it would be nice way to get some places but we walked more and waited and cost WAY more then had we taken a taxi for our group of 4 all day long to go places. View from boat is walls and of homeless tents and garbage along river.

Not a worthwhile boat ride - There is nothing to see or to do on the boat ride. Not given earplugs until we asked. Even then, it didn’t work. It is relaxing (indeed, we felt asleep for the most part). Even the single round trip is a waste. Certainly, avoid the hop on hop off 24 hr trip, it is a waste of money and time.

Don’t waste your time - This is the first bad review I’ve ever written but I just don’t have anything good to say. I don’t blame the boat’s captain, who was friendly, but the boat slowly goes from nowhere to nowhere. Pretty much the only thing to see was the tall walls that prevent floods but also prevent seeing anything interesting. Don’t waste your time.

Rubbish boat trip - The best part of this river cruise was getting off the boat. We sat on plastic garden chairs on the top deck as we cruised along looking at graffiti, piles of rubbish, homeless people and riverside weeds. It’s a real shame that Rome has not done more to improve this area with cafes and decent boats. It could make a fortune with the amount of people that were on foot. So save your cash!
