Highlights
  • Prainha Beach - We’ll embark on a scenic drive along Rio’s western coastline, traversing lesser-known beaches such as São Conrado, Barra, Reserva, Recreio, and Macumba. Our initial destination is Prainha, a hidden gem of a beach renowned for its surfing. As a conservation area, Prainha is encircled by lush mountains, and we’ll engage in a 1.5-hour trek through the tropical forest to reach the stunning Caeté Belvedere, perched 253 meters (830 feet) above sea level.

Following our trek, a brief 5-minute journey will bring us to Grumari Beach, another pristine and preserved stretch of sand. At Grumari, you’ll have ample time (around 3 hours) to bask in the natural splendor of a beach nestled within a tropical forest, complete with verdant surroundings, crystal-clear waters, and soft white sands. You can swim, sunbathe, relax, and immerse yourself in one of Rio’s most exquisite natural beaches.

Rio de Janeiro is celebrated for its stunning beaches, and this excursion offers you access to the finest. You’ll explore Rio’s most pristine and untouched shores: Prainha and Grumari, often regarded as wild beaches.

(Both Prainha and Grumari are nature reserves, safeguarded territories with no residential development, offering pure, unadulterated nature.)

The best beaches in Rio in a very well organized visit - The walk was very good, it included some hiking in Prainha, and then I had the option to choose between this beach and Grumari, which I preferred because it was less crowded. Santiago, my guide, was attentive during the hiking, also giving me information about the history of Brazil and recent events. I highly recommend Jungle me, for their professionalism and attention to detail.

Nice Day - If in Rio you must take a day to see the beautiful beaches outside of the city and the magic of the Tijuca Forest. Fun day and we even learned a lot about the history of Brazil.

Great day out - Great day out, beautiful and peaceful beaches, and a quick easy hike. Tito is a great guide, shared a lot of info about the national park, Rio, and Brazil in general.
