Jeep tour fun - Mariano was an excellent tour guide. He showed us many untraveled roads around Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo. We really enjoyed the day. Lunch was fantastic and very filling. Could not have asked for a better guide.

Best tour ever! - If going to the Azores this is the tour for you. We had Eduardo as our guide and he was amazing! Request him if you can. We had been on a long cruise and had many stops in Europe but this was my favorite! What a beautiful island paradise!! Love it here and Eduardo was so knowledgeable, fun, and took us everywhere! This is a must do tour!

Far Exceeded Expectations - Our tour guide arrived precisely on time at our lodging in Capelas, greeted us warmly, and assured us that he was eager to make our experience as rich and full as possible. Delfim was warm, friendly, and extraordinarily knowledgeable about the history, geology, flora and fauna, and culture of the area and encouraged and answered our many questions as the four of us proceeded on our highly entertaining and informative 8 1/2-hour adventure with the good-natured Delfim and his trusty Toyota 4x4. Beautiful weather, incredible views, side roads we would never have explored on our own, and a wonderful buffet at Lagoa Azul in Sete Cidades followed by a stroll along the shoreline of the lake. Then a steep and scenic descent to Mosteiros and a leisurely drive along the dramatic coast with stops along the way to savor the views. We have been on many tours over the decades, but none better than this. Delfim is one of those individuals who loves his work and goes the extra mile for his clients. He provided a truly memorable experience for each of us, and we highly recommend T4Wazorestours and would book again with Delfim in a heartbeat.

Breath Taking - Mariano was absolutely amazing! He gave us amazing facts about Azores and accommodated us. It was just me and my friend so it felt like a special private tour. The views of Sete Cidades and Lagoa do fogo were breath taking. We only toured Sao Miguel island but I would definitely come back to visit the other 8 islands! Lunch was great as well! Get off-road with T4W! - What an incredible tour operator! We visited the Azores via cruise ship at Ponta Delgado. Our ship was in port early a.m. and departing early in the afternoon. Alice allowed us to start an hour earlier than usual (8am instead of 9am) so we could make the most of our short time on San Miguel Island. Telmo met us with his 4x4 ready for a group of up to 8 people in total. We wanted to see and do things quite a distance apart -see Setes Cidades (the famous two lakes and town) and visit the thermal pools and waterfall at Caldeira Velha. Telmo made it happen! We are grateful for all of his knowledge - he answered all the questions we gave him from island flora and fauna to political history of the Azores. He even loaned us a towel for the thermal pools (we forgot to grab one from the ship) AND ran into a local supermarket to find us a local specialty dessert one of us had heard about from a friend. If you're wondering who can get you off-road and away from the tour buses for a local experience, look no further than T4W!

Incredible - Truly an incredible experience! Sandra curated the perfect private tour for us on the west side of Sao Miguel. She is incredibly diligent in communicating and coordinating our tour. Bento is a historian, an expert guide, and a great driver on some precarious roads. He taught us so much about the island and the Azores; from how it was formed to local cultures and traditions. I would highly recommend T4W to anyone considering touring Sao Miguel.

Great experience and great guide - We had a very friendly tour guide. He told us a lot about the island not only about the locations we visited and gave us tips about things we should really see or where to eat during our stay. His English was fluent and understandable. We also went to a typical Portuguese restaurant where we had fish soup and an assortment of grilled fish combined with fruit (pineapple, passion fruit, melon, kiwi …) We drove to the less touristic viewpoints with the jeep, it was an adventure. Overall we had great day and recommend this tour.

Fabulous day, exceptional guide - The guide was great and explained everything in both English and Portuguese. He was very polite, knowledgeable and kind. Note: This is not a private trip, others may join and the back of the jeep is a bit tight. We were okay upfront, but the people that joined later were jammed at the back.

Fantastic day! - Telmo picked us up from our hotel and we happened to be the only ones on the tour. He gave us an informative and fun tour of Sete Cidades, Lagoa do Fogo, and more. He tailored the trip to us and how much time we wanted to spend at each place, stopped when we wanted to do pictures and was full of interesting information about the island’s history, geology, culture and flora and fauna. He has a great sense of humor and is a welcoming guide for São Miguel! Thank you so much for a great day!

Should have been great but it poured all day - We learned that it rains a lot in the Azores! Our jeep tour day it rained buckets and their was a thick fog/cloud on top of the island. The rain was so bad they closed the hot springs. Our guide was lovely, knew a lot of fun facts about the island, and tried his best to find us things to see.
