Gazing at Stars Through a Telescope
In the interval while we await the lights, we utilize our high-powered stargazing telescope to delve into the finer aspects of the celestial bodies in our galaxy and far-off cosmic occurrences millions of light years distant. We happily snap photographs of everyone beneath the lights at no extra cost.

Our passion for capturing the Northern Lights fills our winters, while summers are consumed with tracking Paragliding conditions. We’ve mastered the nuances of Icelandic weather! As local astronomy aficionados, our cozy and tailored excursions are crafted to imbue you with a sense of belonging to both our crew and to Iceland.
- PICK UP TIMES: 1. Sept.-15. April: 9-9.30 pm
- At 6.30pm each day we make our Go/NoGo decision according to weather and message you to CONFIRM OR CANCEL through the Viator system. As we have no other way of contacting you please make sure you contact us directly if you do not receive ANY message from us, before you start waiting for your pick up. If the tour is cancelled due to weather you can either re-schedule or receive a full refund.
- If you do not see the Northern Lights on your tour, you may re-book free of charge (subject to availability). You must confirm via e-mail.
- If The Customer fails to show up at pickup: No refund.
- If we cancel the tour, for any reason at any time, The Customer is eligible for a 100% refund. This does not include tours that are free re-runs (such as after non-sightings Northern Lights tours).
- Under no circumstances is The Customer eligible for a refund in part or full for a tour that was performed.
- We travel in modified superjeeps – Because the Earth is not Flat. Prepare for an adventurous activity tour rather than luxury!
- It is recommended that you wear thick, warm and windproof layers. You will spend a lot of time outside in the cold Icelandic night. To enjoy the night sky at it’s best it is important to be able to stay warm outside. You can jump back in the vehicle once in a while to catch up on warmth

Bucket list experience!! - Such an amazing experience! Tour staff was so helpful and very eager to help do everything they could do to ensure we saw the northern lights. They were very honest and forthcoming with information and even had to reschedule us for another night with better chances to see the northern lights. So glad they did because the next night was just magical! Highly recommend. Very friendly guys, nice 4x4 ride. Great all around!!!

Unforgettable Experience! - HappyWorld's Northern Lights and Stargazing tour in Iceland, led by Asthor, delivered an unforgettable experience despite challenging weather conditions. Asthor's determination to find optimal viewing spots for the Northern Lights was evident as he navigated to locations with minimal light pollution, ensuring a breathtaking spectacle under the night sky. His expertise in photography added to the experience, capturing stunning images of the Aurora Borealis for us to cherish.
The tour was further enhanced by Asthor's thoughtful touch of serving homemade hot chocolate. Additionally, his knowledge of astronomy during the stargazing segment was impressive and a great addition. Overall, would highly recommend HappyWorld's excursion for those seeking a great Northern Lights experience, especially if you want to see the stars too!

PUT THIS ON TOP OF YOUR LIST! - First of all, the 2 gentlemen who ran this tour were amazing. They made us feel very comfortable and entertained. We immediately felt like friends upon pickup. We drove out to the National Park about an hour outside the city and set up shop. Immediately, we were dazzled with photos of the Northern Lights. It was absolutely freezing outside, but we did not care. The lights were so beautiful and the commentary and learning experience from the tour guides kept us entertained. 10 out of 10 MUST DO!!!!

Northern Lights and Stargazing Tour Review - My fiancé and I had an amazing experience on this tour. Our guide, Ástþór, was very personable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. We learned about astrology, Greek mythology, space, and of course, the Northern Lights. We were lucky enough to experience the beautiful Northern Lights and got some great pictures to remember the once in a lifetime experience by. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

AMAZING Tour! - The tour with them was amazing! We were lucky enough to get a Northern Light show yesterday night and had plenty of opportunities to take pictures! The stargazing makes this experience so much more fun compared to other tours. The best was our guide Astþor, telling us everything he knew about the stars, solar system, Northern Lights and he always found a way to make the entire group laugh! :D If you are looking for a fun Northern Lights Tour, I can definitely recommend them.

Most Amazing Experience of my Life Checking Aurora Off the Bucketlist!!! - I cannot adequately put into words how amazing of an experience we had with Happy World Iceland and our tour guide Pruster (pronounced "Thruster"). We lucked out with a perfectly clear night and we loved that it was a small group (only 8 of us). "Thruster" was the MOST amazing tour guide, sharing his vast knowledge about the Aurora, Icelandic history, and TONS on astronomy/constellations. He brought his own camera and got amazing shots of all of us, as well as his awesome telescope and let us look at Jupiter, constellations, and other cool stuff in the bright, starry night. He was so full of energy and super funny. On the drive home we noticed the lights getting even brighter in the sky and he made an additional stop for us and go the best pics of the night. Happy World Iceland really went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make this experience exceptional! Recommend them to everyone!!!

Very professional tour company. - I couldn’t recommend these guys enough - true professionals. The tour got cancelled twice due to weather but third time was a charm. The weather didn’t look too promising so I was a bit surprised. However, I didn’t need to worry. They took us about 40mins outside Reykjavík and the clouds cleared just in time for us to see the lights in action. A great evening with great pictures.
