Spilies Beach - Starting from the Rethymno Old Venetian Harbour we will go to Spilies Beach, a beautiful natural beach surrounded by cliffs. There are several caves in the area. The boat stops outside of the caves and you can snorkel to the caves or just wander around. (Please, note, that snorkeling in the caves is also subject to weather conditions. The skipper will allow snorkeling and entering the caves only if it is going to be a safe experience).
The traveling time up to the beach is approximately 30 minutes, the snorkeling time - 45 minutes. -
Kamarola Beach - This beach is only accessible by boat. It is small and private, with crystal clear blue water, fine sand, and pebbles. The beach is surrounded by rocks that provide shade during the day, depending the season.
You can dive from the boat, enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing on the beach.
A beautiful natural arch called Kamarola is a great sight for memorable pictures. -
The Venetian Fortezza - On the way back to the harbour we will see the Fortezza Castle and the beautiful coastal line of Rethymno Old Town from the sea, make some pictures in front of the lighthouse and finish our tour at the starting point.
The traveling time back to the port is 30 minutes.

Additional Information
Embark on a private journey in a 7-meter rib boat, captained by a skipper, through the luminous turquoise waters of Crete. The journey commences from the Old Harbour towards Spilies Beach. Outside the caves here, you can opt to snorkel or simply explore around, provided the weather conditions are favorable. We then proceed to an undisclosed sandy beach adorned with pebbles, only accessible via sea. Rocks that encircle this beach provide natural shade that varies with the season. From diving off the boat to swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing on the beach, it’s a paradise for water enthusiasts. The striking natural arch, Kamarola, serves as a splendid backdrop for unforgettable photos. Later, we’ll admire Geropotamos Beach with its mesmerizing teal waters while relishing snacks and drinks onboard. On our return journey to the harbour, prepare to be awed by the spectacular view of Fortezza Castle and Rethymno Old Town’s picturesque coastline from out at sea. Bear in mind, however, that all boating excursions are contingent upon the weather conditions.
- People who do not know swimming are obliged to wear life jackets.
- People with mobility issues shall notify us prior to the tour.
- Boat tours are affected by weather conditions. If the weather doesn’t allow the operation of the tour, the trip can be rescheduled or refunded. Travelers will be offered alternative program or timing (if possible).

An unforgettable boat tour - It was a really incredible experience going on the boat tour with Blue Fin. The team are very knowledgeable of all the best swimming spots along the coast and took us to areas with beautiful views. Then we stopped for a swim in an area with gorgeous turquoise water. It’s a truly unique swimming opportunity with clean and clear water that allows you to easily see the fish around you (highly recommended for snorkeling). You won’t get the same type of swimming experience in the city beach! And in the way back you get great photo opportunities of old Rethymno, particularly the lighthouse!

Magical moment at sunset - We took a 3-hour boat trip to enjoy the end of the Cretan day. A magical moment shared with family, thanks to the kindness of Kostas. An aperitif at sunset, breathtaking waters and landscapes! We recommend with your eyes closed!

Best boat trip ever! - The most amazing boat trip ever! Kostas, our captain was extremely warm, friendly, and especially accommodating. We celebrated a birthday on the boat and asked if there was a way he could make it extra special, however he went above and beyond. He brought a cake his wife baked especially for the trip, and gifted us a bottle of great wine. The boat was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Kostas took us to beautiful spots along the island, and told us a bit about the history of the area. We truly had the best time, and would recommend to anyone looking for a private boat trip.

Top class private boat trip - Our family of four took a fabulous 4 hours boat trip with Blue Fin in early August 2023. I dropped Kostas a WhatsApp message enquiring about availability etc and we had a message exchange before agreeing the itinerary and cost.
This trip was the highlight of our week in Rethymno: a beautiful clean white Rib vessel with a powerful engine that zipped us west to some fantastic beaches and coves. There was enough room on the boat for four passengers to sit at the front or the back, if you wanted some shade.
Kostas has such knowledge of the best places to visit based completely on what we wanted to do. The children were very excited to swim and wanted to snorkel. So we went to a very quiet cove with the bluest, clearest water, where we did both.
The boat had snorkelling equipment, and Kostas had fresh fruit, snacks, water and fruit juice for us all. He even offered beers!
The pricing was very transparent, based on time/length of trip, plus whatever fuel was consumed. The GPS was used to calculate fuel based on distance. Our trip was very direct, no unnecessary diversions or routes, to keep costs to minimum.
Kostas also offered several recommendations for cafes, restaurants and other worthwhile excursions and attractions to visit. He was completely invested in our enjoyment of our whole holiday.
