Proudly owned by Ngāi Tahu, the Māori people of this land, our connection to the Kimiākau (Shotover River) goes back centuries. As the home of our tīpuna (ancestors), this place is part of us. Only we have access to the spectacular Shotover Canyons and no one knows this area like we do!

- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Minimum age is 5 years and child must be at least 3 feet (1 meter) in height; dependent on water conditions, the operator reserves the right to increase the minimum height to 4 feet (1.2 meters)
- Lifejackets are provided
- Please allow 1.5 hours for return trip from Queenstown if taking shuttle bus
- Locker facilities available for personal belongings
- Check-in is 30 min prior to jet boat ride departure if self-driving to the river base

Wow. This is an amazing thrill boat ride - This attraction does not disappoint if you are into thrills and chills. Each boat holds 14 and is piloted by a professional driver. You will experience high speeds, and sudden quick turns as you head straight for a rock wall. 360 degree spins. We felt completely safe doing this. Amazing that the boat requires very little water to go skimming along at high speeds. Ride was 30 minutes so some may say it is pricey. But it was worth the adrenaline rush. A must do while in Queenstown.

Converted! - I was not thrilled to have this on our itinerary, but was pleasantly thrilled with the experience. It starts out feeling a little touristy, but then being out on the river was so much fun. Our driver was informative and made sure everybody was comfortable with what we were about to do. I also was so happy with the number of times we went through the river so I could really get a good view and memory of the place.

Must Do - great views and great fun - Heaps of fun..... driver was exceptional, felt very safe the entire trip and the views were sensational. This is the jet boat to do...... heaps better than the ones that leave out of Queenstown harbour.
Was a cold day, but once in the boat with the life jacket on, it was comfortable. Wear some sunnies to keep the wind out of your eyes. You will get a few splashes of water, the outside seats get wetter than the middle seats.

Nice walk, beautiful landscape, river with crystal clear water. - Nice walk, beautiful landscape, river with crystal clear water.
Our pilot was a Japanese woman who moved to New Zealand and doesn't want to leave there anymore. He drives very well, is extremely happy, friendly and polite. The landscape of the river, with the rocks at the bottom of the river, the piles of rocks that form walls along the river, blue sky, is so beautiful.
The maneuvers are radical, the 360 turns they do are really cool.

Must do - The shot over was a great experience. The drivers aim to entertain and enhance the experience. Wear something warm, when you are flying around it gets chilly. Must do when in Queenstown.

Stunning scenery and fabulously fun - Such a fab experience! Fun but not scary and stunning scenery! Must do activity in Queenstown! Our driver was newly qualified but you felt 100 percent safe in her hands!
