Guide was Great - Albert was the perfect guide. English was fantastic and the information he shared was interesting. The best part is he did not talk too much--just right.

We Made It Against All Odds - Great excursion. We were challenged on account of Easter Week traffic jams. Many excursions resulted in turning back to the ship Ours was completed with the driver and guide throwing in some extras. The tour operator is to be commended, great job.

Great tour for a bargain price - Our tour Guide was on time and waiting outside of the ship port gate. It was a very hot day, and the van that carried about 14 to 16 people was full, comfortable, and had good air conditioning. Our tour guide Flora was excellent as well as the driver handling very difficult gridlock in traffic. It was a holiday weekend and this was unavoidable. This tour was an incredible buy for the price. We had a close encounter with white face monkeys who were friendly and jumped on your head or shoulder. We then went to see the crocodiles. From there, we went to a special spot to look for the Macaws. The guide knew where we could find them and we saw several beautiful macaws. From there, we went on a winding road high in the mountains where we stopped at a restaurant where for three dollars per passenger additional we had a beautiful beautiful view of the cloud forest below us. Despite the Easter weekend traffic, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this guide, driver, and company. It is highly doubtful that a cruise ship tour at a much higher price could have given us a comparable experience as the sites we visited did not have adequate access to a huge bus!

Lovely informative trip. - Excellent & knowledgeable guide & driver . Good stops. Comfortable air conditioned mini van. Good sized group compared to cruise coaches.

Excellent Tour - We were lucky to do a tour that was only us and another couple from the cruise ship. Flores the tour guide and her co worker,who was the driver made the tour very enjoyable. Flores was very pleasant and informative and we felt very safe being driven around. The tour was as good as we had expected it to be after reading many positive reviews. I would definitely do any future excursions with them. The pricing was fair and we were in a newer nicely air conditioned car.

Not bad but not great - Good vehicle and driver and guide Of the tour stops just the monkeys and shopping stops were interesting The other 4 were disappointing

Great itinerary but lacked the background info to appreciate what we were seeing - We signed up for the tour because of the itinerary. The traffic was horrendous because the cruise ship visited on a national holiday. We had fun visiting the Monkey House and got crackers from other tour guides to entice the monkeys to take pictures. The stop to observe the macaws was a wonderful photo op. The $3 paid for the viewpoint entry fee was worth it as a drink comes with the entry fee. We have been to Puntarenas a few times and always sign up for guided tours because of the excellent quality of tour guides in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, either the tour guide licensing standards have been lowered or we got an unlicensed tour guide. The tour lacked the background information to make it a wonderful tour for us.

Guide spoke little English - The tour was supposed to be in English, but our driver/guide Carlos spoke little English. He tried, but he didn't tell us much about what we were seeing. I take these tours to learn about the area I am visiting. I didn't learn much at all from this tour. We did get to hold some monkeys, see some crocodiles while standing on a busy road bridge and looking down into a river, and then we saw a macaw family by chance along the road. At the end of the tour, we stopped at the Puntarenas sign that is close to the ship. We also saw a church in Puntarenas that was built in 1902 or there abouts. That is the only information we learned about the trip. I would not recommend this tour.

Disappointing - This particular experience was disappointing. We were on a bus that was filled with broken seats and was dirty. Our guide was nice, Flori, but she was hard to understand. She didn't really tell us about the areas we were driving through and what we were seeing. We went to the top of this mountain for what was supposed to be a beautiful view at a restaurant and they wouldn't let us in without an entrance fee. Our guide seemed surprised. Seemed like a lack of communication between the tour company and the restaurant. The stop we made for the monkeys seemed like it was located on someone's property. You had to walk through someone's yard and patio to reach them. Kind of awkward. The stop for the crocodiles was literally a bridge on a road with crocs sleeping. The only excitement on this tour was the shopping. They stopped at a decent-sized store with a nice assortment of touristy items from clothes to food. Overall I would not take this tour again. Was really looking forward to this stop on our cruise, but was very disappointed with this tour.
