Tierra del Fuego Review! - Fantastic tour with amazing views! More than just penguin watching. Stopped for tons of Guanacos, Rheas, foxes, and sheep. The long journey was broken up well. Felt like more of a safari! Eduardo was fantastic!! Would book again!

Worth the journey! - I highly recommend the tour. It is a long day (about 14 hours) but seeing the penguins at the reserve was a wonderful experience. Our guide was fantastic and we made several other fun stops along the way. The penguin reserve is very well-managed, and they have scopes that allow you to see the penguins even closer. The lunch was fantastic - one of the best most authentic meals I had in Chile.

King Penguin experience - Atman was a great guide but I was disappointed that we couldn't get very close to the penguins. If I had known that, I would have brought my binoculars.

Penguins + driver and guide +++. Rest of trip too protracted. Go to penguins early and shorten trip by 3 hours - See title The trip takes too long and could be e if an earlier time to view penguins was adopted with earlier return.

King penguins - It was a great adventure to the penguins in their natural habitat. We saw baby chicks too. This is the only colony of King penguins in Chile. The ride was long with limited scenery. Our guide of an English tour did not have command of the English language, so it was very frustrating at times.

King Penguin tour letdown - Quite simply too long, too expensive and parts of it towards the end (albeit interesting about the Chilean Selkmam people) irrelevant to me. With respect If I’d have wanted a history tour I’d have booked one. Also it was an incredibly long day for an hour of penguin viewing at 50metres (yes I know that’s a legal requirement) even though they are the most wonderful animals and I will take away memories of this. I felt there were so many opportunities missed to stop here and there and photograph the beautiful landscape we were travelling through (in fairness nobody asked) and some of the wildlife. I felt a little let down by it given the price but hey ho you live and learn. I would say the tour guide was very nice and helpful and extremely knowledgeable

Good but disappointing - The guide was friendly and professional. The journey was long but seeing many Guanaco's made for a better journey. The park we found very touristy, as we arrived in a group we had to stay in a group, this wasn't fun as we wanted to space ourselves from people chatting and children. Lunch was a big flop, poor choice for a vegetarian with rip off prices for what we got to eat. The day was however memorable. The penguins were great to see.

Penguins were awesome, everything else was terrible - This review is based on the tour itself, not the experience of seeing the penguins (which were amazing). This was an unnecessarily long day, dragged out by visiting uninteresting dilapidated oil and gas infrastructure and sheep farms. Guide seemed like he didn’t want to be there. No stops for food until 5 pm (and we got picked up at 6 am). I understand there are logistical challenges running this tour, with the variable ferry schedule, long drive, timed admission to the penguin park and unpredictable weather - but things like the guide showing any interest at all in the tour, an earlier stop to buy food and/or information in advance that we should pack food, and skipping the last stop at an abandoned sheep farm when it was already 7 pm would have helped a lot. Even little things like one other tour we saw, the guide packed a hot water thermos so they could enjoy a coffee while waiting to get into the penguin park, while we were just standing around in extreme wind - would be cheap and easy to add and make the experience much better. But the penguins are fantastic and the reserve is very well run. The guides there were excellent and knowledgeable. Highly recommend seeing the penguins but maybe better to rent a car and go yourself.
