At this point you’ll wear personal floatation device, enter in your Kayak and start sailing on Lake Titicaca, but not so fast first your English speaking guide will get you prepared for the day ahead and fitted into your kayaks.

The half-day kayaking trip on the Uros Islands is a journey through the heart of the Lake Titicaca National Reserve,

where native and migratory birds find sanctuary and man-made floating islands of reeds dot the Wily river.

Your Uros Island Kayaking Tour kicks off at 9:00 am after an early breakfast at the hotel, followed by a pick-up service from your Puno hotel to the kayak dock.

Once there, you’ll put on your personal flotation device and get ready to sail on Lake Titicaca. But before you start, your English-speaking guide will ensure you are all set and help you get into your kayaks.

You’ll then get basic kayak paddling lessons, learn about different paddling techniques and more.

Then, you can start paddling at your own pace, with no pressure. This kayaking experience on Lake Titicaca offers you the unique landscapes of the Uros, where the plateau sky meets the lake as one, the blue waterways, reed carpets that are mostly green during the rainy seasons, and local birds in their natural surroundings are all part of this extraordinary encounter.

Experience Uros islands close to nature - A great way to experience the Uros islands, away from big tourist groups, close to nature, getting an (arm) workout on top. Very interesting to learn about how the islands are built and the livestyle on the islands. It was a very authentic experience and Ronny was great at communicating before and during the trip.
