  • El Yunque National Forest - Get adventurous, get muddy and get off the paved trail! Hike to explore different zones of the rain forest and enjoy beautiful views, natural pools and the Atlantic Ocean. Once we arrive to the skirts of El Yunque we will start with a 25-30 minute journey on a river-wading and rock scaling path to the river. You will see bamboo trees, flowers, and beautiful plants and experience rivers, waterfalls, and natural trails.  We will make a stop to visit a collecting pool that forms at the base of a small waterfall. Here you will have the opportunity to swim in its crystal clear waters, swing from a rope and enjoy the different tones of its deep pools.

Then, after a few minutes of hiking and rock climbing to the upper sections (more strenuous), arrive at a natural river where you can swim, cliff jump, enjoy the natural water slides and small waterfalls.

Don't hesitate, just book the experience!!!! - Jason was an AMAZING tour guide, and this experience was truly once in a lifetime - but you can come back and do it over and over again! General itinerary: Pick us up from the hotel (van could use a little TLC), bring us to a little shop for snacks, smoothies, souvenirs, and last minute items in case you forgot something, go to rainforest, restaurant, then kayaking and back to hotels. TIPS: - Have water shoes that you can also hike in. - They provided a life vest with pockets with room for water bottles that they also provide - that is truly all you need for the hike. DO NOT bring anything else, you will be miserable carrying it. - Skip the hat and sunglasses - you're given a helmet and since it's the rainforest, there is lots of shade, no need to risk losing your sunglasses - I had a waterproof case from Amazon that didn't quite do it's job whenever I went down the waterslide. Just leave your phone out of the water if you're sliding, jumping in, etc. - The rainforest does in fact rain (crazy?!) - like can flash flood rain. We were fortunate enough that it did not rain that bad, but the day before, it did! And people's items got carried away so truly do NOT bring anything on the hike! - Be prepared to get muddy, but fortunately they provide a hose at the end to wash all the mud off and it washes off pretty well without staining. - For the kayaking, they say no bug spray but in fact we could have it - but we also brought bug bands which was more effective anyways. CONS: - This is not the only company doing this tour, meaning that it there was quite a lot of people, but honestly it did not bother any of us and everyone was good at taking turns. - The restaurant we were brought to afterwards was STELLAR (Asador Boricua), BUT service is a little slow (within reason). - We were supposed to get picked up in the morning at 9:00 but they were 30 minutes late. Also from the restaurant, we were to get picked up at 4:30 for the kayaking experience from the restaurant, but ended up being 5:30. The restaurant had a bar though so...not reallllllly a con. Just something to note that they run on island time. Thanks again to our tour guide, Jason, and the rest of our amazing team that made the day possible - Mitchell/Tarzan, George, Manolo, EJ, and two other guys on the kayaking group that I just cannot recall their names, but truly everyone was so incredible and I honestly will come back!

Outstanding! - This was one of the most amazing tours we have done. We learned so much about the rainforest and the bioluminescence kayaking tour was mesmerizing. We did have a hiccup. There was an accident on the highway, which pushed our transportation to the kayaking tour behind by two hours, but our driver got us there safely. I would have liked for the tour company to send out a mass text message to all the participants giving us an update that there was going to be a delay. However, once he arrived we were off and the bioluminescence tour was amazing. The stars and the sky were equally amazing.

El Yunque Rainforest Experience - We had an amazing experience in El Yunque! The rain forest was breathtaking! Our tour guide, Jason, was very very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable, especially of the local flora and fauna. It was an amazing adventure, at times somewhat challenging, but Jason made us feel safe throughout and was there to lend a hand when needed. The guides took some great photos and videos that fully captured our experience. The restaurant following our excursion was delicious and perfect following our visit to the rain forest. I highly recommend this company and this tour for an amazing adventure in Puerto Rico!

Lots of fun- come prepared! - It was so fun! This is a long day with both together. Be prepared to be exhausted if you do both together. Bring a waterproof container for your phone for both the hike & the kayak. You need shoes that can get muddy & wet.

Must do - Review is just Bio Bay Kayaking as the rainforest part was cancelled due to the weather. I would say Bio Bay is a must if in Peurto Rico. Well organised and a strange experience especially when the paddles of the kayak touched the water on the return to the starting point
