Highlights

Arrival in Paro - Depending on your arrival time, we will have few sightseeing in Paro.

Rinpung Dzong - Explore deep into the cultural gems of Paro! Start your day at Rinpung Dzong, a 17th century Buddhist monastery and fortress built by Tibetan Buddhist Lama, Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal known as the unifier of Bhutan.

National Museum - Next on your itinerary is the National Museum, where various interesting artifacts of the Bhutanese civilization find pride of place. Here, witness the original masks used in Bhutan’s famous cultural festivals as well the art of preparing statues! Soak in the stunning view from the museum.

Jangtsa Dumtseg Lhakhang | ཟིབ་རྒེས་ལ་ཡ་ག་ན། - before you depart for Dumgtseg Lhakhang – also known as the 3 realm temple, it symbolizes the different stages of rebirth according to Buddhist philosophy. The temple’s three floors represent hell, earth and heaven respectively, enclosed within a chorten-shaped building topped by an unusual white flower. Climb between the different levels via steep ladders to see beautiful displays of Buddhist artwork. Please wear formal clothes for your visit to the museum.

Drukgyel Dzong - Drukgyal Dzong was a fortress and Buddhist monastery, now in ruins, located in the upper part of the Paro District, Bhutan. The dzong was probably built by Tenzin Drukdra in 1649 at the behest of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, to commemorate victory over an invasion from Tibet.

In the early 1950s, Drukgyal Dzong was almost completely destroyed by fire. It is listed as a tentative site in Bhutan’s Tentative List for UNESCO inclusion.

In 2016, to celebrate the birth of The Gyalsey, as well as to commemorate two other significant events, namely, the arrival of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel to Bhutan in 1616 AD and the birth year of Guru Rinpoche, the Prime Minister Lyonchen Tshering Tobgay announced that the Dzong will be rebuilt and reinstated to its former glory. The announcement and ground breaking ceremony took place a day after the Prince was born.

Fully recommended, great trip! - With the help of the whole team (Lopzang for the organization, my driver Mr. B and my guide Thinley) I had a great trip. Everything was perfectly organized, the guide was very knowledgeable and introduced me to the rich culture of Bhutan and Mr. B was always driving safe and sound. Although we had a detailed itinerary planned upfront (which perfectly aligned my wishes and expectations), I always had the flexibility to to change plans or adjust whenever required. Not only was I impressed by the sights we visited as well as the Bhutanese culture, also the hotels and the restaurants we visited where tasty and with a nice atmosphere. I could not have wished for a better trip. 10/10.

Memoreble trip to Bhutan with family !! - We travelled bhutan in nov @2023 .It is a beautiful place with breathtaking mountain views .We booked our Bhutan trip through T8untrodden for 9 days. It was an extremely delightful experience inspite of the fact that we had just 6-7 days to finalize this trip. Any changes requested by us in itinerary were promptly done by T8untrodden team. We were happy with the choice of hotels . Even last minute changes during travel were done without any fuss ,rather the team did best possible to make it suit our comfort in the nick of time . We had a super comfortable car for the whole journey with a very kind and helpful guide and driver. We had a memorable and amazing time in Bhutan. We highly recommend T8 untrodden for Bhutan travel. We appreciate and thank Mr Lopzang and his entire team for an amazing trip to Bhutan .We suggest to visit Punakha and Phobjika for sure.
