The renowned author Franz Kafka was a regular attendee of the Old-New Synagogue in Prague. This 13th-century Gothic edifice is the most ancient structure in the Jewish Quarter and stands as one of the longest-serving synagogues in Europe. The major portion of this area is occupied by the Jewish Museum, home to several synagogues and a cemetery. Jewish quarters tour - Our guide Ms Hana met us at our hotel and escorted us to the Jewish Quarters in Prague. She arrived on time, was very knowledgeable about the Jewish Quarters and kept us entertained for 21/2 hours. We learned a lot in a short time. Thank you Viator

Wonderful experience - Our experience with Private Guided Tours was totally positive. Jay had provided all of the information we needed when we were in the planning stage, including timing and payment information, and sent a reconfirming note the day before our tour with the name of our guide. We had a wonderful tour with Ms. Kathy. She shared information in a way that was easy to understand, without overwhelming us with detail as some guides do, and then answered our questions. We highly recommend the Prague Synagogues and Jewish Quarter tour.

Fantastic and knowledgeable guides - recommended! - Our guide Kathy was wonderful, I can see why the company said we were lucky to do our tour with her. Really knowledgeable guide who obviously cares a lot about the city and subject matter. We were both very moved by the memorials. Well worth the money, especially for a private tour. My husband said this might be one of the best tours he has ever been on anywhere.

Would definitely recommend! - We had a great experience on our private Jewish Quarter tour with Ms. Kathy. She was friendly, very knowledgeable, and thorough in her descriptions of the places we visited. I would definitely recommend the private tour for the personable, one on one experience - had we visited the Jewish Quarter on our own or in a larger group tour I don't think the experience would have been as valuable to us. Ms. Kathy was a great guide and we learned a lot from her!

Informative tour, but very slow pacing - This tour was extremely informative and our guide knew a ton about Prague, its Jewish Quarter, and the history of the Jewish People in Prague. My only complaint is that this felt like a 90 minute tour stretched out to be three hours. This would be perfect for larger groups or less-mobile adults -- In three hours we only walked 1.7 miles. There were times where we'd take two steps, stop, and talk about something else. There was no moving and talking at the same time, which led to a very awkward stop-go pacing compared to what I'm used to from city tours. Additionally a lot of information was repeated three or more times. Again, this definitely seemed geared towards larger, more diverse groups where things may need to be said in multiple languages.
