Highlights
  • Igreja dos Clerigos - Spiritus, an audiovisual experience, pairing light, music, and architecture in the heart of Clérigos Church, in Porto. Created by OCUBO, this immersive experience takes its religious location as a premise to carry the spectator on a spiritual and emotional journey.

Freely inspired by the poem “In the end, the best way to travel is to feel”, by Álvaro de Campos, the show brings to the fore the existentialism of Fernando Pessoa’s heteronym where the concept of being the union of the individual with the outside world.

With an abstract look and intense soundtrack, the church architecture’s filled with visual poetry, lightness, and sync.

Wow - One of the most exciting shows I've ever seen. A beautiful way to enhance a church (which in many ways is the same as thousands you see in the city). The show lasts about half an hour, the ticket Recommendation to do it online because they have different evening times, cost 10€. Beautiful indeed.

Not to be missed - Great experience! Light show that plays off the decorqtion of an old church, telling the story of creation, passage of time, abundance of nature, human frailty... Loved it!

awesome lighting show with beautiful music - This church is located right in the old town of Porto and you can see the 75-metre-high tower from afar. The view from the top is beautiful and you can see the whole city. It was built in the 18th century and is one of the city's landmarks. But what I recommend even more than climbing the tower is to visit the church in the evening. The Spiritus light show takes place in the evening. This is a multimedia experience. The beautiful lights and the great music accompanying it gave me goosebumps. For me, this is one of the most beautiful experiences in Porto.

Brilliant kaleidoscope light show - What a fabulous attraction and a way to enhance the splendour of this magnificent church with its soaring ceilings, religious icons and beautiful acoustics. You sit on the pews for this half hour show which is a kaleidoscope of sound and colour. Fabulous!

Definitely worth seeing - so creative - I was a bit dubious when i first saw the flyer in the tourist office as i thought it might be a bit gimicky. It's actually brilliant. A 30-minute incredibly creative light show in a beautiful church in the centre of the city. Very good value at 10 Euros. Arrive 10 minutes early and get a seat at the back so you get the full perspective.

Unusual and different - Unusual place to have a light show but somehow it worked nicely and fitted in well with the design and architecture of the church itself considering a book store not far from this church is charging people 8 euros just to enter think I would save my 8 euros and put it towards this show not much more expensive. It lasts 30 minutes and some of the effects are very beautiful. Yes you may get slightly a sore neck from looking up at the beautiful effects on the ceiling but it is worth viewing

Long-winded and repetitive. - Impressive, but little variation in the images and often repetition. It is urgent that they adapt things to new, more modern techniques in terms of video projection. What the laser beam did was beyond me. Combination ticket with the tower and the church made it affordable ...

Totally underwhelming - My friend and I didn’t think it was worth the time and money spent. The church itself is beautiful, but the show is cheesy, boring, and downright strange.
