We had a wonderful time... - We had a wonderful time on this trip and we learned a lot about Portugese history and wine making. Our tour guide, Miguel, was the best!

Genuine Douro Valley Experience! - This tour exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 5 (friends and family) and we wanted to experience the Douro Valley in a small group. For this reason and the high ratings we selected this tour. We were pick-up rigbt on time and traveled in a small van with air conditioning. Antonio our driver is very kind and upon our rquest he stoped in Pinhão train station to see the azulejos. Everything was well coordinated from pick-up, vineyards selection, lunch, 1 hour boat tour dop off. The valley is beautifull and the boat tour (its a most) gives another perspective of the region. This is an exceptional 1 day tour from Porto. We highly recommend this tour.

Douro Valley Tour - Our guide Monica was wonderful. She gave us an excellent history of the area and brought us to 2 excellent wineries. The stop at the beginning for coffee and pastry in a quaint little town was quite nice. The lunch was very tasty, great food and wine, excellent ambiance. The cruise through the valley was enjoyable. We would highly recomment this tour.

For the views of the valley - Rodrigo (& Joseph) picked us up promptly from our hotel in Porto. We drove to the Douro Valley. Breathtaking views. Quinta Dos Castelares had fabulous tastings - wine, honey, and olive oil. They do ship to USA; they do NOT accept AMEX. Lunch at what used to be a primary school in a small village was just ok. They served bread, cheese, and sausages and then a veal dish and/or a creamed cod with potatoes. Dessert was either fruit or flan. It was unremarkable (then again, I'm a snobby foodie person). Had a pleasant, relaxing boat tour with more unbelievable views. Second vineyard was Quinta de Santa Eufemia. Great offerings of five (or was it six?) different ports. They do not ship to USA. Interesting tour with discussion of how the port is made. Overall, 10/10 for this tour. Would do it again for the views alone.

Fun day at vineyard - Despite a slight delay in pick-up due to traffic, our Douro Valley wine tour turned out to be a fantastic outing. The guides were friendly and enthusiastic about all things wine and port. Bonus is I had the chance to meet some cool people along the way. The selection of vineyards was excellent, with the first one offering a diverse range of wines and port. Lunch, a delightful three-course meal, added to the overall experience. I highly recommend this all-day memorable wine-tasting adventure. One negative: The cruise portion was too crowded and we were the last to board.

Lovely Visit to Duoro - Had a great guide, Piedro, very knowledgeable and concerned with our enjoyment. Went out of his way to be helpful. We do feel the lunch needs improvement. Also the meeting place was changed from when we booked to a different place and notification was by email only. Lucky we had email access while traveling. Suggest you rethink this practice.

Lovely Douro Valley, great wine tasting! - The drive down to the Douro Valley Was scenic and lovely. Jose was a good, safe driver but he spoke little, hard to understand English . The vineyards were a nice complement to each other; one old family owned small one and the other was a large recently-English- acquired vineyard : both excellent. Lunch was in a charming former schoolhouse with simple traditional meal. All in all , an OK trip.

Disappointing - Pick up/drop off good. Lunch at school house tasty. Guide was disappointing- provided no commentary of area/wine etc. First stop definitely better than second winery- seemed like they weren’t expecting us?? After lunch guide started driving way too fast, by the time we were on highway back to Porto he was driving so aggressively I felt unsafe.
