Embark on a thrilling adventure driving your own quad/ATV, presenting a fresh, exhilarating way to explore the memorable landscapes of São Miguel Island.
The journey will lead you to the towering peaks encompassing Sete Cidades Volcano.
With a blend of off-road and on-road terrains, you’ll be treated to a traversing experience around some paths part of the Azores Airlines Rallye.
Provided the weather is cooperative, prepare for breathtaking vistas of the lakes and the sea. It would feel as if you’re standing on the earth’s zenith.

Gear up for an adventurous ride!
Itinerary:
- Start at Fenais da Luz (North coast)
- Head to Pico da Cruz (845 meters above sea level) for a view of Lagoa de Santiago, Lagoa Rasa, and Sete Cidades lagoon.
- Reach Vista da Rainha/Miradouro das Cumeeiras (vantage points for Sete Cidades, Green and Blue Lagoon)
- Visit Cerrado das Freiras
- Pass through Capelas village
- Return to Fenais da Luz
- Driving License(+18) is required for drivers
- For a better and safer experience, we highly recommend that you know how to drive ATV’s or similar, as motorcycles.

Best way to see this side of island - This truly was the hilight of trip. We almost considered doing it again but ran out of time. Our guide was helpful and informative and the views are breathtaking. Absolutely a must!

Amazing ATV scenic tour on Sao Miguel - The entire experience was amazing. It's fun to have a unique experience in such a beautiful and picturesque place. Our host Phillipe was excellent in giving us instruction and ensuring we were safe, along with giving us a lovely tour.

Highlight of the Azores - What a fantastic way to explore the island! We spent the morning on a quad bike tour, visiting the old Aqua ducts, and on up to the highest peak to take photos of the Sete Cidades. We then cane down to the lake to have coffee & a snack before taking a different route across the mountains back to our start point.
I highly recommend this tour to everyone. It was definitely our favourite part of the Azores. The guide was extremely friendly & knowledgeable, and gave us great insights on the Island.

Perfect Tour - Felipe provided the perfect tour through the Sete Cidades. This was an awesome way to explore the area and see the most amazing views. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Azores.

Highlight of my trip! - This was such a a great way to see the sites in the Azores! The quads were well maintained, and having never driven one before, I felt the tutorial was plenty to understand it's workings. The guide, Filipe, was safety conscience, knowledgeable, and just overall a pleasure to meet. Thanks for the great memories!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! - I can’t recommend this excursion enough!! What a thrilling way to see some of the most stunning parts of the island. Our tour guide, Filipe, was both knowledgeable and friendly! He knew all the best stopping points for pictures, too! I highly recommend this half day trip, especially when you take it with Filipe and Azores Outdoor Adventures!!
