splendid way to see the beauty of Sete Cidades! - Awesome afternoon! It was just me. Got to stop and take photos where I wanted. The fog was strong but Jose navigated it as best he could so I still got some great views. Also, he squeezed in an hour long hike for me which was fab. He was kind enough to let me borrow his vest as I was ill-prepared for the wind. Stunning part of the island to visit! And we stopped in a cafeteria and I had a terrific pumpkin soup, pickled quail eggs, and a couple of local pastries. Highly recommend the adventure!

Best tour guide! - Jose our tour guide was absolutely amazing! He had so much knowledge to share about the history and the flora and fauna of the island. Even though it was a foggy day, we still had some beautiful views of the lakes and loved our tour from beginning to end. We want to come back again and do another tour with him for sure!

Great experience! - We had a great tour with Jose. Even though it was very foggy and we didnt get to see the views from the top of the crater, Jose took us to other places on the island that had great views. He was very informative about all sorts of topics from plants to wildlife to history, etc. The price was very reasonable and we felt we got our value. We would recommend Carpe Diem tours if you are visiting Sao Miguel.

Fun times had by all - My daughter and I had a great time. What an experience the sights were amazing and our tour guide was the best. He is a one man show and he knows his stuff. It was rainy and windy but it did not matter he made sure we were happy and he packed in as much as possible. We would highly recommend this tour.

Breathtaking Scenery - What an experience! Saturday 21st Oct 23 was the most exciting Saturday afternoon we have had in ages. Jose (Joseph) was a mine of information on every applicable subject relevant to Sau Miguel, Sete Cidades, volcanoes, history etc etc and we soaked it up like a sponge. We toured the rim and took in every exciting vista, and talk about off-roading; we were everywhere!
Would do the same tour next year. Fantastic!

great time - great time, second time with Carpe Diem tours, i would highly recommend . half day or full day it is so informative , we booked 2 days and saw the east side of the island the first day and the west side the second day

Sete Cidade half-day tour - Don’t even hesitate to book with Jose. We spent a fantastic half day with him. Four hours have never gone by so quickly. José is an amazing guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the island’s flora and history. I felt like I read an entire guidebook on the Azores during the time that we spent with him. He gave us lots of local insights and tips, and was very engaging, friendly, and personable. And the views and sights he showed us were breathtaking. Sete Cidade caldera and environs is simply amazing. So worth the time, and money very well spent! I can’t recommend Jose enough.

A brilliant tour with spectacular views - highly recommended! - Jose was a brilliant guide and we loved our tour - the scenery was spectacular and so beautiful I could hardly believe it was real. The tour was tailored exactly to what we wanted to do and see, and Jose was really friendly, a mine of information about the area and the Azores, and just wanted us to have a fantastic time...which we certainly did! Highly recommended.
