Great experience with a fantastic local guide! - This tour was the highlight of the trip my son (12 yo) and I took through Rome and Florence. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable and his enthusiasm around what he was showing us made the experience truly memorable. I'd highly recommend this experience.

Fantastic tour - Our tour guide Camilla did a wonderful job explaining the history pointing out the highlights of Pompei during our 3-hour tour. If you visit the site I recommend a tour guide or you will wander around without much information on the history. If you can request Camilla as your guide you will be in good hands as she is knowledgeable and very passionate making for an enjoyable experience.

Great guide in Pompeii - Lelo was an excellent guide, very engaging and knowledgeable. Especially if short on time, a guide is worth the money to enable you to see the highlights and not miss stuff because your nose is in a guide book :-) And you definitely pick up extra information that you won’t get in a book…also good if you then want to spend a couple more hours looking around as you have extra context. Would definitely recommend Lelo

Everyone Loves Lello! - Lello was the best tour guide I have ever had—and all of Pompeii seems to agree! Everyone in the ruins seemed to know him, greeting him, shaking his hand, and playing along with his jokes. I got the sense that he was friends with everyone there. He took care of our intimate group from start to finish; understanding when a couple came late, and saved me from ticket trouble on two separate occasions! He even keeps extra maps on hand to give to lost-looking tourists (at least one was very grateful). His storytelling and knowledge was passionate, engaging and full of humor, wonder, and awe. Even having visited Pompeii before and studied ancient Roman history, I still learned a ton from Lello that I never knew before. It even felt like he personalized the tour after he found out I was a linguist, spending time talking about etymologies and other linguistic details of the Latin and Greek heritage of the site. When I come back to this area of Italy, the first thing I’ll do is check if Lello is available to do another tour.

One of the best! - Lello was great and it was just my wife and I on the tour. Spoke clear English, was very entertaining and brought the ruins to life. He seemed to know everyone that worked there.

Highly recommend - Leonardo was the best tour guide my husband and I have ever had! His number one priority was ensuring we got the most out of our tour of the Pompeii ruins by explaining everything in detail and spending extra time with us without minding. We were very lucky in that no one else joined our semi-private tour so we ended up getting a private tour! Leonardo was very professional, knowledgeable, and made the tour so much fun. My husband and I’s running joke for the remainder of our tours in Italy was that “we wish Leonardo was here to be our tour guide again.” We highly recommend this tour and will definitely request Leonardo when we visit again!

We covered 1/3 of it in 2.5 hours. Leonardo was fantastic! We ended up only having the three of us on the tour and he was so knowledgeable, knew how to navigate the crowds, was friendly with all the other staff, and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend.

Excellent tour guide - Excellent, knowledgable guide! We enjoyed our tour and gained insight about Pompeii we would not have received if going on our own.

The most engaging and interesting tour - Excellent tour - the most amazing tour we ever had. Small group, great guide (archeologist), very knowledgeable and fun. We went with kids and the archeologist made the tour really engaging and entertaining, they were not bored even for a moment.
