Highlights
  • JEATH War Museum - The JEATH War Museum is dedicated to the story of the men who worked on the Death Railway. The acronym JEATH stands for the different nationalities of the POWs that worked on the construction of the railway between 1942 and 1943: Japan, England, America, Australia, Thailand and Holland (The Netherlands).
The museum displays the actual items that were used for the construction of the Death Railway and it exhibits a large number of photographs taken by prisoners at the time. One of the three galleries featuring photos is housed within a bamboo hut that’s an exact replica of the shelters that the POWs (Prisoners of War) lived in during this time. The museum is also home to a bomb dropped by the allies to destroy the bridge but that failed to explode.

My tour guide gave a hidden talent! - When I said I was amazed by my experience it was an understatement. My tour guide Na was amazing from start to finish. She provided very profound history of the POW WW2 historical site and gave good insight of the waterfalls. I was not prepared to find out that my tour guide Na was very handy with photography because she gotten very great shots of me. As an inspiring model, she really gave me good photos to add to my portfolio. I highly recommend this tour. You will not regret it at all. This made my trip to Thailand very worth it.

Great day trip! - Great trip! Our guide was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great tour! My favorite part was the waterfalls. Just be warned if you don’t like fish touching you, these pools are not for you.

Kanchanaburi Bridge on the River Kwai and Erawan Falls - I briefly stopped by the Bridge on the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi, and the main attraction is Erawan Falls. 100 characters of pressure lol. Level 2 is best for water play. You can eat near the waterfall at a reasonable price. It was nice to come in the off-season and there were fewer people. The watermelon shake tastes great haha. Of course the shrimp pad thai is the best.

Amazing amazing AMAZING! - What a day trip. Early start but so worth it. Really nice air con transport, the river Kwai was stunning and lots of history. And the waterfalls and boat trip equally awesome. Na, our tour guide was so friendly, her local knowledge was astounding and she was so fun to be around. So glad I booked this trip. Thanks Na:)

Jeath museum, River Kwai boat and bridge, Erewan falls (with swimming and monkeys) and WWII ceremony. - A wonderful, poignant and very personable experience (just two of us and our guide and driver). We were picked up by Nuvo at 0730 and driven in our own very nice car (with aircon and waters!) to meet our wonderful guide Lisa at the WWII Jeath museum. Very poignant. We hopped on a river boat and wizzed down the river Kwai to the imfamous bridge and got out on a side with no tourists! Photos and history taught before seeing the train arrive then back into car and taken to Erawan falls. We managed all 7 (got to top of mountain) and swam with the fishes! Lisa joined us for the whole walk. We finished and back in car just as storm hit - superb timing! A long but excellent day. Highly recommended.

Mini history trip and swimming with the nibbling fishies! - Smooth organization and set up - arranged pick up at hotel and tour guide was really friendly, eager to tell you about JEATH and the railway. That said, the museum and railway experience felt underwhelming as there was minimal English translation inside. Erawan Falls was the highlight - being able to go into the waters, and experience a "fish spa" (fish will nibble and feels like a tickle). There are 7 levels you can go up on (level 2 looks the biggest while level 4 has a "slide"). Takes about 30 mins to walk from bottom to level 5. Overall, it was more like mini waterfalls than a majestic/grand feeling. Tour guide was really great in showing us around and giving us more time at Erawan Falls. Perhaps it was my overhyped expectations and the price I paid (about $100 CAD), but I found it average, especially if it's to take up a whole day (coming from bangkok). Tour guide and driver was great though! No complaints on that end.
