Delightful Douro Valley - Wonderful day! Nany was our guide. He was excellent, informative and great company. Lunch was superb and exceeded our expectations. My only recommendation is to skip the river boat ride. It did not add value to the experience but rather detracted from the overall loveliness of the day.

Great private tour of Douro Valley - One of the best private tours we have ever taken in Europe. Comfortable van, great wine, all amenities taken care of by an outstanding guide,Nani. Nani is an expert on the Douro valley, seems to know everyone , regardless of where we went and we went all over. The lunch & grape stomping at Quinta Da Zinhara was fantastic. Ended with a nice river cruise and more Porto. We would highly recommend this tour company, worth every Euro. Get Nani if you can, he is terrific!

The best way to visit the Douro Valley - José collected us at 9 am in his spotless comfortable 9 seater van. He was a perfect guide with lots of stories and has a wonderful knowledge of wine and the Douro Valley. We visited 2 vineyards both of which were excellent and in beautiful locations. Our boat trip was very enjoyable and we were the only ones treated to another glass of port wine and a pastry. Lovely touch... The only thing that was disappointing was the lunch. Otherwise it was a fantastic trip, worth the price for the personal service which you would not get on a big tour. The Douro Valley is a magnificent place. Thank you José.

Worth it. - This was our perfect day in Douro. Ricardo was an excellent host, great knowledge of the area and each stop was worth it, no time wasters. Lunch at Doc was superb as was the tasting at the Quinta. Go for it, splash the cash, we would do it again.

Fabulous private tour of the Douro Valley! - Outstanding private tour of the Douro Valley - one of the most beautiful places in Europe! Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable of the history and geography of the area as well Douro wines. He provided excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

Great day out - The did the private Douro valley tour from Porto and it was amazing and good value. Our guide Nuno was great and very knowledgeable, we first traveled to a sightseeing location above the valley the view were great, then we were taken to a vineyard for a tasting, but it was not your average tasting because we were on a private tour we were taken into a very nice room where Marcus presented the wine & ports. Great experience, then we were taken for lunch at DOC, this was great with the drinks pairing included. Then we were taken on a river cruise and joined by other parties, the Douro First guests were treated with port & a local pastry which was a nice surprise. Then it was back to the hotel, overall a great 9 1/2 hour experience. Would highly recommend it.

Superb Private Tour Through the Douro Valley - This was a lovely private tour through the Douro Valley via car and boat. Our driver was friendly and extremely informative. The vineyard for the wine tasting was amazing. I'm now a port wine lover. Lunch at DOC was superb. This is the perfect wine tasting day trip from Porto.

Unique experience and the best staff ! - I made the tour with my wife, but unfortunately, I started to feel a bit sick, and I couldn't enjoy all the perks offered by the tour. But, even though, I had such a situation, the staff (Nuno and Célia) were giving me support through all the tour to try to make me feel better... they are the best tour guides that I have the chance to be with... they even found me a medicine that made me feel better and I could carry on up to the end of the tour!!! I truly recommend the tour, not only for the experience that is great but for the kind staff that will provide you with a UNIQUE experience!

Unimpressed - The tour was to be from 9.00am to 7.00pm. A premium tour with wine and olive tasting. Lunch with wine tasting and a boat trip. We were picked up at the hotel at 8.45am by a nice polite gentleman called Pedro. Zero complaints about him. He informed us that lunch would be around 3.00pm. Yikes! First stop olive oil and wine tasting. One olive oil poured into a glass with a little bread I would not call that a tasting. They should have at least 3 or 4 options. Next the wine tasting with 5 wines and the same glasses being reused over and over. Once again not a true tasting! Lunch with wine tasting? Do you want a glass of red or white? Once again not a tasting! Lunch was not even in Douro but had some relative's farm house. Boat trip was okay but very crowded. We got dropped off at the hotel at 5.00pm. All this for 160 Euros per person. Stay in Porto for your wine tastings but I have to admit that the Valley is very scenic.
