- Wat Mahathat - Wat Mahathat is believed to be one of Ayutthaya’s oldest temples. The temple include remains of important old buildings such as pagodas, octagonal pagodas, royal hall, small temples, and the famous sand-stone Ayutthaya-style head of the Buddha image in a tree’s root.

Wat Phra Sri Sanphet - Wat Phra Sri Sanphet was the most important temple in the Ayutthaya Kingdom, located inside the compound of the Grand Palace. This temple was exclusively used by members of the royal family and used for royal ceremonies.
Its three distinctive chedis which have been restored contain the ashes of three Ayutthaya kings. It has been registered as a national historic site by the Fine Arts Department.

- Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit - The main feature at Wat Mongkhon Bophit is the large bronze (gilded) Buddha image, named Phra Mongkhon Bophit, which is close to 17 meters high.

- Wat Lokkayasutha - This temple is one f the most popular archaic sites of Ayutthaya. The highlight is the largest reclining Buddha image in Ayutthaya Historical Park.

- Wat Chaiwatthanaram - One of the most visited historical site of Ayutthaya, Wat Chaiwattanaram rests on the bank of the Chao Phraya river. Featuring the architectural style, its unique feature is a large, central prang (Khmer-style pagoda) surrounded by smaller prangs.
