Highlights
  • Ruta Provincial 11 - We will start our activity within the Los Glaciares National Park, located 80 km from the city of El Calafate.
Upon arrival at the Park, we will have the opportunity to visit the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier in 2 different ways (depending on the option chosen):
  • The visit without a guide, with a transfer that departs from the bus terminal, after we look for it at your hotel, where you can walk the glacier walkways, and take advantage of all its views and balconies.
  • The guided tour, with transfers from your hotel, where on the way to the glacier, the guide will tell the history and main characteristics of the Glacier and the entire national park. When you get to the first balcony of the glacier and in front of the map of the same, the different trails will be explained to you and then everyone will be able to walk what they want.
Regardless of the modality you choose, in both you can enjoy a guided navigation of approximately 1 hour. This undoubtedly complements his visit to be dazzled by the imposition of his landslides, not only from the height of the walkways, but now from the lake level: the front of the Glacier oscillates between 40 and 80 meters high above lake level.

Absolutely amazing glacier tour - The most incredible tour. Really informative guide who spoke both English & Spanish. Stopped at a great look out, then onto a 1 hr boat tour up close to the glacier, then had 2 hours to complete a walk of a choice of 3 and have some afternoon tea. Best day ever. The glacier is just fantastic.

Money is a BIG problem in Argentina - There is no money in Argentina. Do not book anything that requires cash. The banks are inept and can only dispense small amounts of money with high fees. Please do not book anything in advance and do not book any places that want cash. There's is NO cash here. Their economy is stuffed. I would recommend booking accom when you are about to come because if you book in advance....you are paying too much. Either bring USD in cash or you are in trouble. Some places charge 20% to use a credit card. That is because they know their money will drop in value before they get payment. Tricky landscape....but still great.

Wonderful - Wonderful tour, with navigation in front of the glacier. It provided us with moments of beauty close to nature. A tip for anyone going on the tour is to bring a coat, as it is very cold.

Another world - The spectacle is magical, colors of rare purity. Effects with the sun reflecting on the water…pffft like in Antarctica 👍👍

Glaciers are stunning - We decided to go for the full "Gourmet" trip and included the disembarking at Perito Mereno Glacier. The Spegazinni Glacier was worth the time and money spent doing the sailing tour. We took a boxed lunch from our B&B as was cheaper. The pick ups were good and organization of the tour was excellent. However, if you are on a budget, just a visit to the boardwalks and a short boat ride at Perito Mereno is OK and a must do.

A unique experience at the Perito Moreno Glacier. - A unique experience with great discoveries. The glacier is spectacular and full of life, I highly recommend the boat ride and then walking along the trails to the north. The restaurant is very good and not expensive. A ten.

glacier review - It was the cheapest excision we could find (which had the boat trip) and OMG it was so worth the price. The lady in charge was extremely knowledgeable and told us so much information on the bus, as well as pointing out some rare wildlife. so worth it !!!
