A beautiful day visiting villages of Lake Atitlán. - Our guide, Elena was very informative which made the experience even more enjoyable. I enjoyed learning about backstrap weaving and having free time to wander as well.

Nice tour to visit 3 Mayan towns around lake Atitlan - As a first time visitor to Guatemala and Lake Atitlan, this tour was an excellent introduction to the mayan towns, culture and attractions. The tours to see the weaving/textiles and chocolate in San Juan La Laguna were very nice and informative. We were able to shop very nice items and tasty chocolate. The ride in the local transportation - tuk tuks was a lot of fun and we were able to purchase some local paintings. The restaurant we ate in Santiago Atitlan had really good food. I was surprised that most of these places accepted cards. The boat rides felt safe and allowed excellent views of the lake. Overall, the tour was very nice and well organized.

A tour of a lifetime. - Our guide Joel was phenomenal - nice & extremely knowledgeable. We got to see and learn things that you’d only get to know if you came to this land. Thank you. Don’t hesitate to book.

Do the tour on your own - I think this tour has of convenience, of not having to think about how to get from one village to another; otherwise I did not see the interest. The first stop is the only one worthy of interest in that you are taken to learn how chocolate is made and how local textiles are made. The second village, is described as an unnecessary stop by the guidebook itself, and consequently I wonder why it is not replaced. The third stop consists of going to an affiliated restaurant and taking a mini tour to the church. For all this, the price paid is really excessive!

Nice excursion but do not expect much insights from the tour guide !!!! - The excursion went according to plan and my only complaint is that the guide, although very nice and helpful, was not knowledgeable enough about the history, culture,....she limited herself to take us from one place to another. For the price we paid I honesly was expecting much more content !!!!!!

Dissappointed - While the boat ride was great, the overall tour experience was only ok. Our guide, clearly was not into providing a fun experience and it felt like he was in a hurry to just get the day over with. He did the least possible in terms of providing info and was more interested in giving us free time so that he could go off and go shopping for Christmas. The actual craft shops that we visited were interesting (fair trade, locally run coops, very nice people) and there was no pressure to purchase anything. The whole experience felt like we could have easily done it on our own without the guide since he really did not add anything to the experience. A bit dissappointing....find a different company for this experience.
