In this excursion, we will journey along the sea-facing road, discovering the Athenian Riviera and passing through Athen’s stunning suburbs such as Palaio Faliro, Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza. We’ll make am momentary stop to see the Vouliagmeni Lake, recognized for its story, having been formed from the abruptly collapsing and sinking roof of a cave. In the same region, we’ll tour the highly popular tourist resort known as the Laimos of Vouliagmeni, widely acknowledged as the most luxurious location in the Athenian Riviera. Following our captivating coastal journey through beautiful villages, landscapes and towns, we’ll head towards the Attica’s southern tip known as Cape Sounion. Here, you’ll witness the ancient temple of Poseidon, dating back to 444 BC and dedicated to the sea god. This particular location is associated with Greek mythology and the tale of King Theseus and the Minotaur beast. The view of the Aegean Sea from up here is not something you’d forget. Should you come in the later part of the day, you’ll see one of the most breathtaking sunsets you’ve ever experienced.
