Great to see, but lacking. - Ivy is a great guide and the driver is also great especially compared to all the other drivers I have had in China. The ride was smooth and I got a good nap both ways. The desert is fantastic, the issue being the lack of activities, or more the fact that every activity needs someone to do it for you. Ride a camel, someone leads, drive a 4 wheel bike, you're not driving you're sitting on it while someone else drives. Not what I wanted of a visit to the desert, I was looking forward to driving a bike around the sand dunes. Still worth the visit, but only spent probably less than an hour for 8 hours of driving.
