Highlights
  • Horton Plains National Park - Depart from the hotel at approximately 5:30 in the morning for a hiking adventure to Horton Plains.

Horton Plains is a rolling plateau situated over 2,000 meters above sea level, predominantly covered by grasslands mixed with forest patches and distinctive high-altitude vegetation.

Typically, the plains are only visible before 10:00 am due to the dense mist that shrouds the area.

The most notable attraction at Horton Plains is the “World’s End,” a dramatic 1,000-foot drop that draws crowds of visitors. The Horton Plains, once a favored hunting area for Mr. Farr, a past British Governor, is now a sanctuary for various rare wildlife and plant species.

Above the clouds! A recommendation! 💚 - We really enjoyed the tour of the national park. Our driver and guide Prasanna picked us up on time, drove safely and was able to tell us all kinds of things about the national park and wildlife. Besides many bird species like the Sri Lankan White Eye we also saw the "Bear Monkey" (Purple-faced Langur) and many other great animals. We also saw the national bird of Sri Lanka! Our guide Prasanna was really nice! Overall, the tour was definitely to recommend!

Top Notch Experience..! - I visited Sri Lanka during the 1st week of February 2022. I did all the planning by myself and only booked few experiences through few travel companies in Sri Lanka. I must say Spero team was the most courteous and attentive of all agents I dealt with when booking the tour. The vehicle was very clean and you could instantly feel that it was well sanitized. The guide adhered to all safety guidelines and was very professional. The experience overall was top notch. I highly recommend the Horton Plains Tour of Spero Travels..!

Thank you for your great support - I booked the Horton Plains tour from Spero Travels during my visit to Nuwara Eliya last December. The trip to Nuwara Eliya was a sudden plan and this tour booked at last minute. Nevertheless, Spero Team handled everything quickly and efficiently and perfectly. Thank you for this amazing experience and we highly recommend this tour.

SCAM - Scam, there is no guide all they do is pick you up and take you back. the park entrance is $25 not 3500rs and we didn’t get our free water. Just get a taxi there and back and walk to worlds end yourself it’s very easy. Waste of money and i still haven’t got a refund.
