Downcountry adventure - Humberto was very friendly and made sure I booked the tour that best fit with what I wanted to do. The bikes were clean and in good working order. My guide, Angle, took great care of me and rode at my pace. I highly recommend taking a tour with this company. The single track was also better than expected.

cool family biking trip to Monte Alban - Cool trip to Monte Alban with Umberto and his crew. They were accommodating of the varied skill levels in our group, so the route taken worked out for all. They did a great job shepherding us through the rather chaotic and intimidating traffic downtown. The decent down from Monte Alban as very scenic, including a side trip over to an ancient fresh water spring.

Completely satisfied! - Great tour with very nice and helpful guides. The tour was adapted to our ability and was neither too easy nor too difficult, just right. The guides gave us tips for cycling and shared information about the city and the country with us. We were completely satisfied.

Great mountain biking experience - This was an excellent bike ride on the hills outside Oaxaca! It was a really good workout with challenging uphill parts and exhilarating downhills. The level was mostly intermediate with some advanced downhill sections that I had to walk through. I highly recommend the tour. I was the only one on the tour with one guide. We started in the city and biked on the streets with traffic in the first part. The ride up the hill to Monte Alban is quite challenging. I had to stop a few times. There are nice views at the top. Then you go down on dirt trails past agave fields and through some villages. Next is the hill up to Atzompa, another indigenous site. By this time I was out of energy and had to walk the bike up. After that was another downhill part with some advanced sections. It was great fun! The last part is biking back through the city. Traffic was quite heavy by this time, and there are no protected bike lanes, but it is manageable. All in all, a very good experience if you enjoy mountain biking.

A great experience. Highly Recommend Bike Flow! - My wife and I wanted to take a break from the typical Oaxaca tourist activities and see the area 'off the beaten path' so we were elated to stumble upon Bike Flow. Newly opened, the owner was very friendly (spoke great English) and was eager to make sure that we had a great experience. We decided to do the Monte Albán ride and were not disappointed. We had two guides with us (both named Angel - very appropriate) that were terrific. We especially appreciated them when they navigated us through central Oaxaca as we made our way out of town towards Monte Albán. Though the city is very chaotic, particularly when on a bike, they really did a good job 'blocking' for us to make sure that we were safe. Once we got out of town, we started climbing towards the archaeological site. The climb should not be taken lightly if you are not in pretty good physical shape. Approximately 1,000 feet over three miles. But our Angels were very patient with our slow pace and we stopped several times for water breaks. The fun really began once we started our descent. Downhill single track trails through the countryside were awesome. Our guides gave us plenty of heads-up when we were approaching more technical portions. We rode past fields of agave and had spectacular views of Oaxaca below. After a 1,000 foot descent, we came to the small village of La Cañada, where we were able to restock on water and catch our breath before climbing another 600 feet over 1.5 miles (short but steep) and finally flying down the mountain again and back in to Oaxaca. Total ride was ~14 miles with 2,000 feet of climbing. I definitely wouldn't call my wife and I experienced mountain bikers, but we do a lot of gravel riding and felt that technically, the ride was just right for us. If you aren't sure, I'd recommend their bike path ride out to Santa Maria del Tule, which is flat and much taker. But if you are looking for an adrenelin filled ride that will get your heart rate up, this is the ride for you! Whatever you choose, you can be sure that the folks at Bike Flow will take good care of you!

Bike to Ruins in Oaxaca - Humberto was an excellent guide. He made sure the bike was adjusted and comfortable for me before we set off and showed a lot of patience on a challenging ride, giving me tips and taking breaks whenever needed. The tour was challenging but rewarding and I enjoyed the views and chatting with Humberto as we navigated the hills to and from the ruins.
