Birthday cruise - A great way to celebrate a birthday. The engine is a bit noisy and has fumes, so it is nice to switch it off while relaxing over a bbq lunch. Very enjoyable and would recommend it.

BBQ BOUYS BRILLIANT! - This was such fun! We had six family members on board, four from OS, and we loved our experience! Gently cruising along the Torrens with magnificent views of Adelaide from a different perspective. The providers were friendly and safety conscious. We ordered drinks to share on board and all requirements were covered by the team; right down to a complimentary bottle opener. We brought platters; would recommend this as opposed to BBQing as full attention can be given to the surroundings and experience. Make sure to look out for the flying foxes past KW Bridge near the zoo. Highly recommend this activity to anyone. Thanks BBQ BOUYS!

Adelaide river from a different perspective - What a blast!! A perfect way to spend time with family or friends. The night booking was perfect as we got to see the river and the banks from a different perspective. The lights reflecting on the river was just beautiful. We did the BBQ, but next time i would just do the picky platter.

Sunset on the River - What could be better than a 2 hour, sunset cruise along the River Torrens during Mad March? My family and I had the best night being tourists in our own backyard. We experienced the River from a view we had never seen before. Perfect weather, pefect views, the city lights reflected in the River, tunes on the Bluetooth speakers, a few bevvies and a BBQ. Thoroughly enjoyable experience that i would recommend to both tourists to our city and to us locals. The staff were friendly and the whole booking process was easy. Thanks BBQ Bouys.

Fabulous - We very much enjoyed our sunset BBQ experience for a birthday treat. We needed help with weed stuck in the motor and they came out straight away. You can choose to motor along or drift with less noise. Amusing to watch the ducks and swans following hoping for a feed. Also great to see the lights of Adelaide by the end of the session. Thank you

Loved, Loved, loved the time we spent there - The team at BBQ Buoys have been spectacular throughout the process. Many date changes later we finally got to spend our time meandering along the river, feeding ducks along the way. It's a brilliant way to while away a couple of hours with some friends having a few drinks and a BBQ lunch. Next time I will book an evening hire the city lights would look brilliant.

Great customer service - Had to delay our trip due to unavoidable circumstances and the staff were very accommodating and honoured our booking for a new date almost a year later without any fuss at all. Great activity for a couple of hours for locals or tourists and great way to see the Adelaide skyline. Would highly recommend to everyone!!

Great way to see the city - We had good fun on the boat cruising on the torrens, eating and drinking and looking at the city sights. Make sure you use he bluetooth speaker if you like music. It was a cool night and they provide blankets so you dont need to get cold. One person needs to steer the boat and know how to work the gears on the engine - takes a few minutes to get used to this. Make sure you have someone who is prepared to do this. We went from 7pm until 9pm so you also get to the see the lights on the buildings - you can really see the sunset as is behind the trees and buildings. We took our own platters of food and purchased some drinks when we go there - it does take a good 15 minutes to get organised so make sure you get there early. I was steering the boat and you gt some noise from the engine so it can be hard to hear the music or the conversation - this is the only downside. Some quieter electric engines in the future would be good.

Buyer beware - I booked the BBQ buoy for a work team lunch with some interstate travellers as I wanted to showcase our beautiful city, support a local tourism operator, and have some fun. The forecast 24 hours out from our event suggested a low chance of rain (so we didn’t take advantage of the free cancellation) but unfortunately on the day when we arrived for our trip, the rain was coming in sideways, the boat chairs, BBQ and settings were all saturated, and our team made the decision it would neither be fun or safe to head out. The site based staff member agreed that the rain was likely to continue for at least the first part of our trip based on the grey clouds and outlook. More unfortunate was the fact that we were unable to get any form of refund – as the owner (who was not onsite) was convinced the rain would soon stop and we could simply head out in the rain and still have fun! There was no flexibility to even receive a partial refund so that her staff costs were covered – it was simply a matter of heading out in the pouring rain and get wet – or forfeit the entire cost of the trip ($300). This seems neither reasonable nor fair – but as their owner was very quick to point out, it is covered in their T&Cs – so it is a matter of buyer beware. I have no doubt the attraction is a fun way to spend a few hours on a nice day which we were looking forward to – but please be aware of the fine print and inflexible nature of the operator before you book – and if there is ANY chance of rain or high winds on the horizon, I would recommend you consider an alternative local attraction.
