Friday sees the ancient Omani capital of Nizwa come to life for the weekly livestock market where farmers and traders arrive from as far afield as Salalah with their animals to barter and trade at one of the finest traditional markets in the Middle East. See a Middle Eastern market operating in much the same way it might have done for centuries, with sheep, goats and cattle all traded alongside local honey and dates.

Nizwa Goat Market is a traditional cattle market in Nizwa city, in Al Dakhiliyah region of Oman that occurs every Friday morning! Nizwa Goat Market is technically an extension of the historic and famous Souq Nizwa but is used exclusively for the villagers to sell and barter for goats, sheep, cows and on extremely rare and unusual occasions, a donkey.
Nizwa is the Former Capital of Oman.

Great tour - Overall excellent tour. Our guide Muneer was excellent, friendly, flexible and knowledgeable.
From Muscat the ride was long but the vehicle was comfortable and had good air conditioning.
The fort and market were great and the views from the mountains were stunning. We had an excellent lunch on the mountains before returning ontime to our ship in Muscat. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Experienced - We went to nizwa friday early morning to witness the traditional cattle market selling live goats and it was a wonderful experienced. Said is kind and one of our good guide we had ever had. He gave us insight about his country. Absolutely we highly Recommended this trip.

Friday cattle Market Experience - Its was a lovely experienced to witness the cattle market in nizwa. This is a traditional selling of live goats, and it's only every friday. We travelled early morning to reach nizwa on time. Thanks to our guide Said. Highly appreciated!

Witnessing the traditional friday cattle market - We went on a friday tour to witness the friday cattle market, witnessing the traditional selling of goats. Then after went to Jebel Akhdar known as the green mountain of Oman. We had a wonderful time, thanks to our excellent guide hamood. Highly recommended to everyone.

Friday Market Experienced - Our Friday trip to Nizwa , Jebel Akhdar was incredible. The highlight of our trip was the cattle market, where we witness the traditional live selling of the goats. It was an amazing experienced and we enjoyed our trip. Our guide Mohammed is excellent guide. Highly recommend this trip.

Friday Cattle Market Experienced. - We want to witness the friday cattle market in Nizwa. We went very early to nizwa, we reach there on time. And the Omanis strt selling their goats to other omanis. Witnessing this kind of live selling was incredible. Then after we visited as well the birkat al mouz and irrigation system of Al Kattmyn, then lastly the Jebel Akhdar. We really enjoyed our tour with Majid. I would highly recommend this tour.

Cattle Market and Jebel Akhdar Experienced - We went early morning in Nizwa to witness the selling of goats. To then after our time in Nizwa we visited the green mountain of Oman the Jebel Akhdar. I was amazed by the beautiful landscape and spectacular views above the mountain. We enjoyed our trip. Thank Ahmad for this amazing trip. Highly recommend this tour.

Friday Cattle Market - We early morning to Nizwa to witness the Friday Cattle Market. And it was amazing how the Omani selling the live cows, goat etc. this is the highlights of our trip.
