Snorkel and beach time - Our guide picked us up at our hotel. We had a great time snorkeling in two locations, headed to a third to relax. We ended up parasailing and swimming instead of relaxing :), it was a blast. Last stop was a delicious meal- lots of food! The guide was lovely, talked about the local area, gave us bread to feed the fish and oranges to snack on. We had a relaxing and gorgeous day.

Well organised tour, poor snorkeling - Tour was well organised with good communication for our family of 3 with the private option. Comfortable transport from cruise port to smaller pier where we boarded the speedboat for an enjoyable ride to Hon Mun island. Pleasant enough area with some seating, but snorkeling was poor: fairly small buoyed area, LOTS of snorkelers, some fish / coral / sea urchins, etc, but underwhelming. Second snorkeling spot was Tam island and was just abysmal: a number of other large boats lined up along the shoreline (including a party boat with loud music and few guests) and we were told we had up to an hour to snorkel. Got in the water and there was just nothing -- no fish, just some dead coral in patches here and there. We were simply confused. We got out after swimming around the area for a few minutes and asked to head to our 3rd stop, which was a small but nice beach with some water sports. Enjoyable hour or two before returning to town with transport to a restaurant for a tasty lunch to finish up the tour. Tour provider did a good job overall and we ended up enjoying the day, but we have to give the tour a lower rating since it wasn't a "premium snorkel trip" (snorkeling was the worst part).
