Awesome tour - great wine and gin! - A great tour. The host was exceptional, really informative, personalised the tour and went out of his way when one of our group left something behind. Good number in the group and we were lucky to have a great group of people. The Mission platter and tasting was awesome and great gin tasting too.

A tour to remember - Meeting new people, eating quality (and filling) food and tasting the most exquisite wine made in New Zealand were some of the highlights of this tour. Our tour guide Ross ensured we were looked after really well and provided a comfortable ride to and from the wineries we visited. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to book a wine tour.

A enjoyable and educational afternoon. - Ross kindly picked us up from our location at West Bay and took us to the Mission winery for a very enjoyable lunch, in a lovely location, which was a great start to our afternoon, the quality of the food was very high and well worth booking. After lunch we joined David from the Mission team who carefully explained the background to the winery, and each wine we then tasted, his extensive knowledge and pleasant manner made the whole experience very enjoyable. Ross then picked us up and took us through Napier, explaining about the earthquke damage and rebuilding. .We eventually stopped at the National Tobacco Company building that is noŵ an artisan gin producer. We then enjoyed sampling a number of gins, all with different botanicals creating drinks with unique characteristics, covering a wide range of different styles. From there we moved to the smaller family owned Askerne vineyard who produce a wide range of wines from their land, here we enjoyed further tastings with some excellent NZ cheeses. It was interesting to compare the difference between the two wine producers, both had supplied us with excellent quality wines to taste and showed how good the wines produced in NZ are. Two very happy individuals were then returned to our location. This was a wonderful afternoon, both educationally and for the excellent food and drinks we enjoyed, and is throughly recommended. Ross looked after us throughout the afternoon. 5 stars.

An enjoyable lunch and afternoon - Ross picked us up from the hotel and took us to the Mission Estate for a lunch on their verandah. The location is lovely and the lunch platter was good and included a glass of wine. We were three couples who didn’t know each other but had a great ‘chatty’ lunch. After lunch we were joined by three other couples for the wine tastings. We started at the Mission Estate with their excellent guide (Jeff?) who talked us through the wines and history of the estate which was fascinating. We then moved by minibus to the Church Road Estate finishing at the Askerne Estate where we had cheese and crackers with our wine. Ross then dropped us all back into Napier. On our day the distillery wasn’t available so it was 3 vineyards which was fine for us. Ross was a great host and guide and meeting 5 other couples from around the world was great.

Great Wine Tour - Personal Service - Excellent afternoon touring 3 vineyards with our guide and owner Ross. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to help us with a very remote pick up and a little tour as he dropped us off at the marina after the tasting. He clearly knows his stuff and all the wine hosts in the area, which made for a great day. We were one of three couples on the tour, so it felt like a private tour. Highly recommended. Many thanks again Ross!

Not very satisfying - Lunch is nothing gourmet, it’s a platter with ordinary products! Wines from mid-range tastings or even “first price” for some.
